WandaVision (2021)
This show is amazing. One of the best things to come out of the MCU ever.
This show, from start to finish, will not leave you bored. I know that the ending was not what people wanted, but it is still one of the best TV shows in the MCU.
Nobody (2021)
I mean... it's an action flick
You get what you came for. Bob Odenkirk obviously makes the movie really enjoyable. There are plot holes, but the movie is still enjoyable nonetheless. It does get a bit corny and cliché, especially towards the end, but you will not be bored watching the movie.
It's kind of like a John Wick knockoff; it has the same premise and a similar character backstory, but executed in a worse manner.
TL;DR: Basically a John Wick movie, but a little bit worse.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
Wasn't sure at the start, but became a believer by the end
I started watching Schitt's Creek after their award nomination and win, and boy was that a good decision.
At the start, the show is kinda iffy. The characters are not likeable, and they have zero emotional depth. However, as you progresd through the seasons, each character, and I mean each character, experiences a beautiful arc that makes you fall in love with them.
The only complaint about this show is that it didn't have more episodes.
En passant pécho (2021)
Over-the-top garbage
Whoever wrote the screenplay was high because this movie isn't funny, nor does it have a plot
History of Swear Words (2021)
Great Idea; Terrible Execution
For a show named "History of Swear Words", you would think that it would mostly consist of historical information with a little bit of comedy mixed in; kind of like Half As Interesting for those who know.
Literally less than half of an average episode is based on the history itself. Nic Cage and Nick Offerman are some of the very few good comedians featured in this series, which is overall very boring, dull, and repetitive tbh.
I really disliked this show to the point where I was watching it and 1.5x speed to get through it.
The Gentlemen (2019)
This movie is pure gold.
The script. The characters. The acting. The comedy. Everything was on point.
This is one of the best movies of 2020.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Great Actors; Terrible CGI and Writing
They had the best actors (Gal Gadot; Kristen Wiig; Pedro Pascal; Chris Pine) and they managed to mess up their performance with this terrible script. A nine-year old could write a better script.
There's this scene in which they're exploring the origins of the stone, and I remember WW initially describing the god who made the stone as "a very bad god." Like, do they think that their audience is 5? I seriously laughed at that line.
Please fire the guy who did the CGI. There are literally people on fiverr that can do a better job.
Don't even get me started on Max Lord; they exaggerated him in every way to the point where he had no personality and was just a husk.
Seriously, the writing in this movie is terrible, and the actors are the only saving grace
Bad Boy Billionaires: India (2020)
Good show for the masses
These facts were already known within India, but these guys did a bang-up job bringing the stories to the general public in a gripping and easy to digest manner
Family Business (2019)
A really light-hearted comedy show
If you're going in expecting a deep story and a complex plotline, this show is not for you.
But if you love light hearted comedy, this show is just for you (and me).
Skyscraper (2018)
Just an action movie
It's just an action movie. I'm not sure what else anyone would expect.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Don't compare it to Hill House.
I see people comparing this show to Hill House, but they really shouldn't because the plots are different.
This show did not have as many horror scenes as the former, but the story was intriguing. The characters were written in a way that you could empathize with all of them. Feel what they were going through.
If you are here for pure horror, you may not like it, but the writing is still, well.... perfectly splendid.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Not for everyone; definitely not for me
Let me just say this before people say anything: I do not have a problem with a strong female lead. Enola Holmes is a promising character who can do as much as her brother, but the movie is ruined by agendas.
The first half of the movie is unspeakably guilty of this; every chance the protagonist gets to bash men, she does, mostly without reason.
She is also not very self-aware because she calls others proud and narcissistic while being the same herself.
Every character was written poorly just to make Enola seem special. They could have made her the centre of attention while ensuring that people around her have an IQ of atleast 1, but why would the writers do that when they can just insert "haha men bad" into every scene.
I do not care about the historical accuracy of the film. I do not care about the plot holes. I do not care about the lead being a woman, but for gods sake, stop alienating a big part of the audience just to peddle an agenda, hollywood. Stop following the steps of Charlie's Angels.
P.S I think people have said this enough already, but the person who cast Henry Cavill for this role was on crack. Love the man, but he isn't someone who should be playing Sherlock
BlacKkKlansman (2018)
I hate Patrice
IDC which side of the political spectrum you are on, but Patrice's character is so bad; she still breaks off with Ron because he is a cop even when he saved her life?? Like, she's all about anti-discriminatory practices, but then she ends up discriminating against Ron herself. My brother ain't deserve that.
Fargo (2014)
Absolutely Amazing
This show is amazing. There are no words needed to describe it. It is just amazing
Keep in mind that I am talking about Seasons 1-3 only and I haven't watched Season 4.
