I will rate this one 6.
It was not all bad, but being a life long Elvis fan I can't stand the obvious mistakes in dates/years and the use of songs Elvis not even recorded during their setting in the movie.
I do believe that Parker stepped in for the money, they got that right. Making money was the main (of not only reason) he stepped in.
Then again, back in the day (1955) I don't think any so called manager could have pulled of what Parker did at the time: making Elvis a BIG name in showbizz and television history.
No, not saying Parker was the right manager at all, those beginning years he did a great job.
I believe that Elvis should have done that world tour he wanted right after the Aloha satellite show in 1973. But Elvis back in Vegas or On Tour through the States was no good at all. Not for Elvis, he wanted more.
A fine role (at times) by Butler. He was actually too young to play the later Elvis. Tom Hanks did fine as Parker, though the accent was wrong.
And like someone else said: Rap music in the fifties? Elvis music on some electronic beat? No, did not work for me.
I do understand they want to introduce Elvis to a younger audience.
Parker won't benefit on this one, The Elvis family probably will.
Rest in peace, dear Elvis.

I read a lot of the reviews, and perhaps a lot of viewers do not get the message of this movie.
It shows you (during a war) there might be the feeling or idea of hope, and also shows the ignorance of people.
The ending is actually very fitting to the depressing story. Of course I also was like wtf. But again, it fits this story.
If you are into a claustrophobic, chilling thriiler (one actor: Ryan Reynolds) great acting, then this is one to watch.
Don't expect to have a happy experience is perhaps what I should ad to this review.

To say it is a stupid ending, I don't know. Perhaps a second movie will follow.
I liked this one from the start.
You can have your kids sit with you and be excited over this story. No foul language or nudity.
Just a very nice story about treasure hunting, simple as that. I enjoyed it from the beginning.
It's on Netflix (Netherlands) now. Trust me, fun watch.
B.t.w. A little Dutch touch (aside from Famke Jansen) the 2010 soccer game againt Spain is featured.
