If you like LA history you will love this show. Every episode has fairly complete filming locations all over Los Angeles published here on IMDB. It's fun to look at then and now photos if you can find them.

What's unique about this show is that it exposes the murderer in the first few minutes. We then watch Columbo work backward to find the perp. It also showcases many, many fading Hollywood stars in their later years such as janet Leigh, Anne Baxter, Roddy McDowell and Anne Francis. Jamie Leigh Curtis even plays a bit part as a waitress in one episode.

Peter Falk's character is amusing as he pieces together the crime and exposes the murderer.

Overall this is one of my favorite classic tv series.

I watched and watched and watched and tried to like this show but it was too bad. Moving on. No plot or story line in the first two episodes. This just keeps going and going and going. I'm about to commit suicide. I watched Dodgers beat the NY Mets and it was way more entertaining. If you want a mind bender watch Caddo Lake. Better story line, acting and casting. I'm praying this show ends sooner than later.

There is nothing redeeming about this movie. I am about to rip my eyeballs out watching this piece of whatever you want to call this. Barf barf barf. And unfortunately I love Jude law but this movie blows! .

Love the fact this couple is preserving historic homes, sometimes 150 years old. Ashley is somewhat annoying, like Chip is to Joanna Gaines in Fixer Upper, but I find the elements of this show more interesting than Fixer Upper simply because of the age of the homes.

It is a fun and interesting show. And personally, Ashley doesn't bother me as much as Chip Gaines. He's so over the top most of the time.

I'm well into season four and looking forward to season five and Restoring Galveston hotel edition. It will be interesting to see how they renovate an historic hotel and bring it into the modern era.
