The Pursuit of Love (2021)
Hilarious depiction of the upper classes
This adaptation encapsulates much of the comedy of the novel about the eccentric world of the aristocratic Radlett family at Alconleigh. Andrew Scott steals the show - a fabulous performance of bohemian neighbour Merlin. This is such a treat.
The Silencing (2020)
Gripping Thiller
An excellent thriller with chilling atmospherics. I was completely gripped from start to finish.
Replicas (2018)
Silly
Ouch. I wanted to like this - but it's top tier so-bad-it's-good. The hammy script demands that the audience questions nothing and accepts bonkers science, swallowing this plot whole wasn't something I could stomach.
Suburbicon (2017)
Spoilers ahead!***
Suburbicon has a talented cast. The style and the premise is interesting, however nothing makes a great deal sense of to be believable. We don't know why he wants his wife dead, and even if we go with it, I think it is completely insane that he wants his kid dead. You might like it, but It simply didn't work for me.
Dunkirk (2017)
Perfect
It's so realistic. In blends the fine direction of Christopher Nolan with an accurate historical event. Cleverly opts not to present a German on screen, showing commitment to tell one side of the story without undue moral judgment.
The Snowman (2017)
Interesting cinematography
Michael Fassbender is one of the most talented and reliable actors of his generation. It's mad how much hate The Snowman has garnered. There is nothing wrong with it. It is beautiful cinematically and it gripped me throughout.
Victoria & Abdul (2017)
Excellent!
With Judi Dench how can you go wrong? She was born to play this part. I have never seen this lady give a bad performance. A very endearing true story of how a queen discovers joy from a lowly Indian servant I certainly enjoyed the movie. Top-notch!
The Dilemma (2011)
Good movie. Fantastic cast!
I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. Entertaining and quite amusing. Great story. I don't understand it got such terrible reviews? Vince Vaughn is superb. Winona Ryder also! Recommended viewing!
Battle of Dunkirk: From Disaster to Triumph (2018)
Prepare for an emotional rush!
I caught this gem on Amazon Prime by chance. I hesitated to watch it as I wasn't sure I could stomach it. I'm so glad I did. Exceptional stories of survival. I highly recommend watching!
Manchester by the Sea (2016)
Very emotional movie
Great cast! Expertly acted. A beautiful movie about moving on from loss. Something different!
A Ghost Story (2017)
Incomparable movie
It was a beautiful movie, that provokes deep thought and brilliantly executed into a true gift to cinema. Well done, very thoughtfully put together!
Collateral Beauty (2016)
Collateral Beauty is not good!
If you don't eye roll at least once in this movie, you're probably an AI. This was like torture. The script is just bizarre! The cruellest trick ever played on a fictional character in the history of movies.
Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie (2014)
A man in drag gets his tights stuck in an escalator!
The TV show is very funny and doesn't deserve all the hate thrown its way. Brendan Carroll is very funny, but D'Movie isn't funny. I didn't hate it but I didn't laugh either!
Battle of Dunkirk: From Disaster to Triumph (2018)

Aloha (2015)
Makes me want to visit Hawaii!
Aloha was perfectly fine, I don't see what the hate is all about. Is Emma Stone supposed to be Asian? Alec Baldwin did a nice yelling scene!
