Dance A Lot Robot is a short show that fills up space between longer shows on Playhouse Disney. Each episode lasts only 3-4 minutes. That is the only drawback I can see. The show itself is great! Each episode features the Robot "leader" and two children to help teach little ones how to dance to new and creative dance ideas (the race car dance, flower dance, dinosaur dance, to name a few). My 2 1/2 year old loves to dance to Dance A Lot Robot! The best part is that he's exercising without even knowing it. It's a great time for the two of us to dance together and my 1 year old loves the music (and loves to watch us look silly!). Overall, totally great show and I hope they create a collection of all the dances.
This show is almost addicting. I don't even watch much TV, but I LOVE this show... the story lines are captivating and so true to real life.
I wish the happy endings happened more often in real life, though.
I have to say that I am most impressed with how they portray the relationship between Allison and her husband Joe -- they are so REAL -- the things they argue about, how they talk through conflicts, and how they help to strengthen and encourage each other, even though they are both faced with such an unusual situation. Their relationship is what I hope mine and my future husband's will be like :)
The episode where their daughter began having dreams was hard to watch because it involved children being raped and killed (that is so disturbing). But the way the family chose to respond to that, and protect her as much as possible from the life that Allison leads, while embracing and believing her dreams was beautiful. There is so much LOVE within this family unit!
