Professional wood carver from NS Canada, Elizabeth has been carving since 1993 and doing it for a living since 2003. While Elizabeth carves everything from jewellery to chainsaw carvings, her hand carved wooden Santas have been the back bone of her business since it began.
These Santas caught the attention of Keith Currie as he was preparing the props to film Hallmark’s “Nostalgic Christmas”, an adaptation of Kevin Major’s book House of Wooden Santas.
Following the script, Elizabeth carved a total of 13 original Santas and lent the production an extra 15 for the box of Santas so often referenced in the movie. They play a prominent role in the film and have garnered much attention since the film’s debut.
Elizabeth also carved an elf for Lifetime’s “Too Close for Christmas” and most recently, provided the carvings in stages for an episode of Sullivan’s Crossing, season 3.
In her studio in her hometown of Liverpool, Elizabeth will happily be carving for years to come.
