A very enjoyable bit of TV made and for the BBC.I saw it when it was originally broadcast, enjoyed it immensely.Compelled me to read the book which was great.True similarities, faithful to say the least.Trevor Eve is at his utmost best as the philanderer, wickedly and terrible writer Felix.A must see.Hopefully the BBC will bring it out on DVD?or repeat it again,I think it's been repeated once since transmission, not sure about cable?Good viewing.
Being a 60's baby I love the 60's in film.Have seen this film twice I think both times as a teenager would love to see it again now.Cannot remember lots about the plot apart from the main character being a P.I.onto a tricky case in a tongue in cheek way not quite like the"Marlowe" style. An interesting watch,I'm sure its dated by now.Love to see it again though.Never show it on TV anymore, probably not known or popular enough for DVD?
Have watched this film many times and enjoy it just as much as the first time,a mark of a good film.Joe Orton certainly had a strange sense of humour very evident in this black-comedy.A must see if never seen.Perhaps immoral,so what the blazes its entertaining to say the least.Great performances from the cast.
