Super confused here bc Trucco isn't listed among the cast here, while he was definitely in the short I saw :')) What is happening.

In that way it's kind of similar to the novel, actually! Although only the basics of the novel were kept.

The show starts off pretty good, there's enough mystery to keep you interested. I don't know why people are complaining about the characters. They're well-rounded and interesting enough. Yes, they're not necessarily "likeable" (although I did like some of them!), but this isn't that kind of scifi in the first place. They're people, not heroes.

Halfway the season a lot of unnecessary and honestly over the top tangents are added, though, and it was hard for me to stay invested. The plot seemed to fall apart a bit, and story and characters became quite inconsistent. (And I'm not talking about their obsessions or insanities or whatever, because that obviously is part of the plot.)

Maybe they should have done this in 6 or 8 episodes and kept the story tighter and not so much all over the place.
