As drag race seasons hosted by Ru Paul are going into decline, with Marina Summers being robbed in UK versus the world and highly produced Global All Stars, the drag race Philippines is a breath of fresh air.
Contestants are very likeable and their personalities deep, judgement is fair and correct, stories are emotional and most importantly everybody delivers on the runway and in the challenges.
Watching American seasons I feel like they are enjoyable but nothing can suprise me anymore. I blamed it on the fact that there were so many seasons already. However, drag race Philippines feels so fresh and I'm constantly surprised. There is so much talent. I think it's time for Ru Paul to learn from drag race Philippines and Spain because for me they are the best ones currently.

Until this episode I still believed that production was delusional and in their minds the editing would make us agree with them and accept dominance of English native speakers.
Now I think they just laugh in our faces. They know that the franchize is so popular that people will still watch it, regardless how unfair and rigged it is. Rupaul can just choose whoever he likes more, even when they do the worst.
They don't do much favor to the favored queens, though. If they want to push Kitty to the final why to make her look so unlikeable, showing all the rude comments. Her edit is that of a redneck Karen. And I'm sure she had some nice things to say they could show instead. The judges could also put her in the bottom at least once, and save her, even with worse lipsync, justyfing it was funnier. On the other hand Alyssa, except for great runways she was sure able to pay the best designers for, is just meh. There is no growth shown since all stars 2.
They don't do any justice to queens they want to favor. This makes me believe, the producers don't care anymore how the show and drag queens in it will be perceived. They just want our views and money. Greed is destroying this franchize.

After watching all seasons of drag race, all stars and many international drag race versions I've never felt the need to write a review. There were some moments of favoritism but it was never too much. However, this global all stars is painful to watch.
The judging feels xenophobic, which for me, a non native speaker who used to live abroad in two English speaking countries, is triggering. It feels that queens from countries where English is not a native language are mistreated and not judged fairly. They don't receive the same opportunities even though they do really good in the competition. Drag race has progressed when it comes to treatment of transesexual or black contestants. However, we cannot forget that there are also Latin or Asian people as well as other backgrounds. Production and judges seem not to care about it and that is painful to watch in a show that is suppsed to be inclusive.
