Coming right out of an 80's mindset this movie has a few known actors, Moore and Quaid but Margaret Qualley's acting comes across as a soft porn/ OnlyFans model. What promises to be a decent horror movie turns out to be more of a soft core tease porn type movie unfortunately. Some full body nudity is questionable as to if it is needed but it could be argued that for the scene it was needed. IMO there was too much nudity. Would've been more enjoyable if it didn't come across so porn vibed. The ending?? Well I'll let you watch and decide lol as we will all have our own take on it. To sum up, if you want a hollywoodized OnlyFans/soft porn film then this is probably for you. Could've been made different and more mainstream.
Set in London with a predominantly balck cast revolving around the lives of London gangs and five people who discover that they have powers that intertwine with the gangs. The story is good but very slow to pick up pace. It isn't really untill the last two episodes that things pick up pace a bit. I'd like to of seen more 'power' related scenes. The story also picks up on whether people would want the powers which to most people is a no brainer as most of us would. The acting was ok albeit some characters were laughable as in we were wondering if the actors were trying to be true to real life or whether it was a jab at gang life. Very stereotypical gangster wannabe dialogue. At the end of the day the story is publicized as people discovering they have powers so would've been nice to involve that aspect more. Also just to add that I think most of us would be hyper ecstatic to discover a power. This wasn't always the case with these characters. I would recommend this as it was filmed well, played well and entertained. Just be warned it is slow to take off.
Brilliant movie albeit a few inconsistances. The movie was well made with decent actors. The movie could be described as a 'what if' movie but sadly these incidences have happened in real life. It delves upon the undeducated minds of the public and the trolls of social media crrating something out of nothing with innocent people getting hurt. Society online unfortunately breeds a vast amount of stupidity and uneducatedness. It shows how most people will believe anything AND act upon false information. The inconsistency is of police not acting on relevent information immediately. Then again theres an argument for reality there too I suppose. It opens up the need to seek out the real perpetrators of such incidences ie the ones that start rumours and the ones that act on false information based on nothing. Also the mindsets of most people sadly. Most people following the masses instead of the truth is alas society in the modern era. All in all a pretty decent current movie.
