The original was epic and as such, it remains to be one of the classic for my generation. This was one of those movies that you can watch several times and amused every time. When this movie was announced, it is natural to have a high expectation, but unfortunately this version does not deliver.

The most disappointing aspect was the lack of leadership. Unlike the original, there was no charisma for us to believe in him and his cause. He was just a gladiator (aka war prisoner) who wants to survive. There were some impressive fighting scenes, but very predictable and nothing spectacular compared to the original.

In summary, this movie was watchable but does not come close to the original. Please set the expectation low and you will be fine.

Going into this action/comedy movie, I knew nothing about it and my expectation was extremely low. Maybe too low but I felt this movie started out OK. Things made sense but it went South (way South) very very quickly. Everything was sub-par ranging from action scenes to acting, and it was really getting painful to watch toward the end. There was no climax whatsoever. Thank God I was not watching this in the movie theater!

Unless you have watched everything on Netflix (which I was told simply impossible), please skip this one. You have not missed much and glad that you have followed my advice.

The overall story does make sense, but the movie was silly just like the mask itself. This killer was not that impressive nor scary compared to Jason or Michael or Freddie that we grew up with. By the way, he did not speak at all, so it was hard to relate to him in any way.

Somewhat different than US horror movies and the elements of Rambo were present (like outdoor traps and weapons, etc). I recommend this to the Horror fans out there and people who want to spend 90 minutes on silly entertainment (and OK with that). If you not, you will not miss much by skipping this movie. Overall, Silly and watchable!
