I started my screen career in Luxembourg, as a human canvas in Peter Greenaway's The Pillow Book (1995), then Giapetto's Doctor in The Further Adventures of Pinocchio and later the Vicar In a Dark Place (The Turn of the Screw).
Short film work in the UK has included A Favourite Olace, The Marionette Unit, A Man Alone, all on YouTube. My first starring feature role was in Crab Island, as Hemlock Crab, a Lear-like old codger marooned with his daughters, and later Villains, starring as ageing Geordie bad-ass Jackie Shields. Both the latter are Robbie Moffat movies. Since then I've featured in eight other Palm Tree Movies, all listed here, most recently as Barry Drone in The Beehive.
My stage credits include two Shakespeares and a number of Shaws for Michael Friend Production : The Comedy of Errors and Lear and his Daughters (eponymous) ; Mrs Warren's profession, St Joan, You Never Can Tell, Widower's Houses, Geneva, St Joan and Heartbreak House, as well as Professor Serebryakov in Uncle Vanya and Colonel Redfern in Look Back in Anger. I was also proud to create the role of Old Sade in The Divine Marquis. My last role before the pandemic was in Beneath the Blue Rinse on tour in Oxfordshire.

Oh My God (2017)
Three's (Strained) Company
I'm eagerly awaiting release of this one. I saw it screened in Monaco and would love to find out whether others enjoy it as much as I do. It's a gentle, fun-poking, sometimes edgy comedy, a road movie and a buddie movie all rolled into one, with some pretty beautiful landscape thrown in for good measure. It's The Odd Threesome, really - these characters each have a journey to make, literally and metaphorically - and they struggle to maintain their Christianity in the face of each others' really annoying character traits. And will they even reach the end of their pilgrimage ...? The trick with scenarios like this is keeping you caring about the characters ... Robbie Moffat's capable writer's and director's hands deliver in full. And there are jokes ...
