  • SUPERMAN for a NEW GENERATION!

James Gunn's Superman feels like a bold new direction for the DC Universe, yet with the comforting familiarity of the Justice League animated series we grew up watching. It doesn't try to be a grand origin story-it feels more like a chapter pulled straight out of a comic book. And that's exactly what sets it apart.

David Corenswet's Superman is grounded, relatable, and refreshingly human. Even small moments-like saving a squirrel-add emotional weight and help build a version of Superman that feels accessible. His performance is quietly powerful and distinct from previous iterations.

The Lois and Clark dynamic is a major highlight. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois with depth and intelligence-she's not just a love interest but Clark's equal and moral anchor. Their relationship brings up real questions about justice, accountability, and consequence.

Nicholas Hoult delivers a standout performance as Lex Luthor-calculated, manipulative, and terrifying in plain sight. He's not hiding in the shadows; his menace is right out in the open. Krypto the dog, meanwhile, is an absolute delight. Every appearance is a joy to watch.

That said, the third act felt slightly underwhelming-too dialogue-heavy and missing the impact of a solid final showdown. Hawkgirl's expressions felt oddly forced. And the Indian censor board really did a disservice by muting jokes, cutting a Green Lantern scene, and removing a key kiss. Those cuts hurt the experience.

Still, Superman is a heartfelt, value-driven film-not your typical macho superhero flick. It's made for this generation, and a perfect movie to watch with your family.

  • Crappy the Hunter

"Kraven the Hunter" has finally dethroned DC's Joker 2-This movie, unfortunately, stands as one of the crappiest cinematic experiences I've ever endured. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that this is what Sony promised as part of its superhero universe.

While Aaron Taylor-Johnson undeniably looks perfect as the iconic Kraven, his performance is trapped in a film so flawed and directionless that even his talent can't save it. It's frustrating to think that his promising turn as Quicksilver in the MCU feels wasted when compared to this dismal portrayal. The narrative is uninspired, the action scenes lack weight, and the characters feel hollow. The movie is so utterly devoid of redeeming qualities that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend watching it under any circumstance-whether in theaters, on streaming platforms, or even out of sheer curiosity.

Save your time, money, and patience. This is a cinematic disaster that's better left unwatched.

  • Promising Start: Bridging the Past and Future with Room for Growth

The introduction to the new DC Universe (DCU) has been executed remarkably well. The stories seamlessly connect to the past while also promising an exciting future. I want to commend the art style of the animation chosen by the creators; it has a comic feel that captivates the audience. The new storylines that James Gunn has brought forward for comic book lovers and DC fans are impressive and offer a lot of potential moving forward. The characters stand out as unique yet relatable.

That being said, I do feel the DCU is on the right track, although there are a few aspects I'm not fond of. One of my main concerns is the music-it feels repetitive at times, especially given the limited 20-minute runtime of each episode. I'd also love to see more attention paid to the choreography of the fight scenes and further development of the art style. Additionally, making it an adult-oriented show doesn't automatically enhance its quality. These are just a few points to consider.
