The premise is unique and refreshing - it's not often you see a strong, smart female lead with such an unconventional career. The directing by C. J. Julianus deserves a lot of praise here. The film looks fantastic for an indie production, with stylish cinematography and solid production value that really pulled me into the story and it's genuinely funny. A lot of the comedy comes from Ava's snappy dialogue and the quirky situations she finds herself in. Lorrisa Julianus as Ava absolutely carries the film giving a combination of Megan Fox and Julia Louis-Dreyfus vibes. A hidden gems that makes you glad you gave it a chance. You won't be disappointed! It's got humor, heart, and plenty of surprises to keep you entertained.
I really enjoyed the film, another great showcase of Pat Higgins' directing talent! He manages to deliver all the gore and scares we've come to expect, but this time, he adds some musical numbers. I was skeptical about how a horror film could balance musical comedy with the intensity of gore, but Higgins nails it perfectly.
The film makes you genuinely care about what happens to the characters. It's refreshing to see that depth in a genre where that's not always the focus.
I have to give a special mention to Alan Ronald-his standout song midway through the film is an absolute highlight. It really captures the spirit of the film. Overall - a unique blend of horror and humor that's definitely worth a watch!

A quietly stunning film that blends human drama with striking visuals, creating a story that lingers well after the credits roll. What impressed me most about the film was its ability to explore deep emotional currents without ever feeling heavy-handed or melodramatic.
At the heart of the story is a compelling performance by the lead actress, who brings a remarkable depth and subtlety to her character.
The cinematography captures the rugged beauty of the coastal setting, mirroring the emotional journey of the characters. There's a strong use of natural light that gives the film a sense of realism, while the underwater sequences add a dreamlike quality that deepens its themes of connection and loss.
The pacing is deliberate but never sluggish, allowing the story to unfold organically. While it's not an action-packed film, there's an underlying tension that builds as secrets come to the surface, making it quietly gripping. I also appreciated the subtle use of sound design - the ocean is almost a character in itself, its presence felt even when it's not seen, which adds to the film's contemplative atmosphere.
