Christmas on Holly Lane (2018)
I love it
I love this movie. It is one of the best one I have seen in a while. I love the tight friendship between those 3 women. How they came together was even more beautiful. You could tell that Sarah had a heart of gold. From the grace she showed her ex-husband, to the patience she showed her daughter, to the unconditional love she has for her 2 best friends; I completely understand why her house was the safe haven for her friends. Cat needed someone to believe in her and I am glad that she found some people who did. And then there's Riley. She is a risk taker. This is definitely Karen Holness best role. She has leading lady potential. In this movie She really came through for Cat. She took a chance on her and it paid off. She also done good by gently putting Cat's daughter in her place. This movie is great and I am glad I took the time to watch it.
Crown Prince of Christmas (2022)
Awful
This is awful. Just awful. Truly, truly awful. I wish I could have given it a zero. The plot was okay. I like the premise of a real prince pretending to be normal while pretending to be a prince to please a girl. It was a cute idea. They were an okay couple. They had a nice and easy chemistry. I don't know who told Cindy that she could sing but whoever told her need to be sued. In my opinion, she need not sing on the television screen ever again. Ever. It was just not good. Don't get me started in the acting from both of the families. Stale and terrible. I don't know what else to say other than I cannot get back the time I spent watching this movie.
A Royal Surprise (2022)
It was okay
This movie was just okay. It was okay but not great. The 2 main leads had zero chemistry, in my opinion. He seemed like a dreamy prince though; a perfect gentleman. I loved the way he stood up to his mother. She was way out of line by bringing in his ex-girlfriend. That ex was trying her best to break them up but it didn't work. I loved the prince's sister and father. That's what a supportive family looks like. They are both so chilled. The scenery was beautiful and the mansion was as well. I don't have too much more to say other than it was just okay. I don't regret watching it but I won't watch it again.
Dance with the Devil (2024)
Blows my mind
This movie blew my mind. I wish I could have gave this an eleven or twelve rating. This has been the best independent film that I have ever seen. It had me guessing from beginning to end. I was literally on the edge of my seat. I never would have guessed that Mr. Gilmore would have been the Devil. He was so happy go lucky with everyone liking and speaking to him. I never would have guessed that the pastor would have had the past that he had. Mind blowing. The only one who got on my nerves was the daughter's girlfriend. I was glad she got shot. My heat went out to the pastor's son. Mr. Gilmore didn't have to do that to him. I loved this movie. It was well made & the actors done an outstanding job. Well done💥💥💥
Cooking Up Christmas (2020)
The Best movie so far
I don't know where to start. I loved everything about this movie, especially Lamman Rucker. First, Lamman is one of the finest and most underrated actors on television. Those dimples are too die for. He was great in this movie. His character, Donovan, was a little hard nose at first. He was tough on his kids but they knew that he loved them. There was no mistaken that. I loved Uncle Buck & Chloe. Chloe was just what that family needed. She didn't try to force things with them or anything. She gave them time and attention. Uncle Buck was hilarious. I loved what he did to stay in his family's life. Donovan's mother was something else. I started off not liking her but she grew on me. This movie was awesome and I am glad I watched it.
A Whirlwind Wedding (2021)
A little bit boring
This movie must have been shot during COVID because it is lacking a lot. There was no physical touch at all between the mother and fiancé. It was awkward. The strangest thing is that the daughter never met the future stepfather before she came down for the wedding. I thought that was strange. The chef had no personality and it was a struggle to love his character. His dancing scene was funny though because he had zero rhythm. LOL. His brother was cool though. The lead actress' boyfriend was a stick in the mud. He didn't deserve her at all. This movie was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again though.
I Hate You to Death (2023)
What did I just watch???
What in the world did I just watch? I cannot believe that this was a Chris Stokes/Marques Houston movie. This has got to be their best one yet. At first, I didn't think Trevor got what he deserved but then I realized that he was going to kill the 3 of them to get the insurance money. He was so smooth that I didn't think he would go to that extreme but he was so desperate for money for his company. My favorite of the 3 wives was Kelsey. She was the perfect one to take care of Olivia's daughter when she went to prison. If she hadn't been suspicious enough to follow Trevor they would have all been in the dark about each other and they most likely would have been murdered for money. This was a good movie.
Sweet on You (2023)
It was okay
The movie was okay. It's not a movie I would watch twice but it was okay. Haylie Duff is a likable actress. I enjoy her movies and she was good in this one. She had a quiet strength about her. I am glad she had no kids in this movie because she was running back and forth between the cafe and the hotel. The man who played Drew was perfect for that part. He was very charming and likable and had an easy chemistry with Haylie. The two standouts to me were the Brie & Marcus characters. They were hysterical. Marcus trying to use that mixer was too funny. And Brie laughing at Drew when he asked for "city food." Also when she yelled at him when she went into labor was hilarious. Did not like the best friend's husband.
A Christmas Blessing (2023)
GAC did it again
People need to get over themselves. Of all the things to be upset about people are choosing to be still upset about Lori Loughlin. Border wide open, Americans are funding 2 wars but what are people being upset about?: Lori Loughlin. 🤣🤣🤣Are you kidding me? Anyway, this movie was wonderful. Wonderful plot, wonderful script, & wonderful acting. I don't remember seeing James Tupper in anything but he is a good actor and had great chemistry with Lori. Jesse Hutch is one of my favorite "Hallmark" actors. I have not seen a bad movie of his yet. I think this one is his best yet. The reporter, Karen Holness, is so underrated and I think it is past time for her to be a lead in a movie. Well done GAC.
Baking Christmas (2019)
Impressive
This movie really impressive. The name of the bakery really made me love it: Patty Cakes. I can watch anything that Aloma Wright is in. She is an underrated actress. She's good in any movie she's in and this movie is no different. No one could have played Patty but her. I love the idea of making the kids compete for the bakery but I would have just given it to the one who worked there with me. The actress who played Jennifer was really good too. My only 2 complaints are that they didn't utilize the great Tim Reid enough. I would have like to have seen him do more in the movie. My other complaint is that I didn't like how the son's wife try to push him to have a child before he was ready. Other than that, I thought the movie was great.
Twas the Text Before Christmas (2023)
I love this movie
I have never seen a bad movie with Merritt Patterson in it. She is absolutely one of my favorite female actresses in these movies. She done an excellent job in this movie. This was one of her best movies. She had an easy and believable chemistry with Trevor Donovan. They are great together. In this movie, I love the fact that they were friends first before they were a couple. Nana was the breakout star to me in this. The way the family gathered around her was so heartwarming. As soon as I saw Carter I knew they would end up together and I love them as a couple. The way he got down on one knew at the end made me cry happy tears. This was an easy 10 star movie for me.
Catering Christmas (2022)
My new favorite
Well done GAC. This was your best one yet. There wasn't a bad scene in this movie. Daniel Lisssing is one of my favorites. In this movie he was more than charming. He was dreamy. The perfect leading man. Merritt Patterson was wonderful in this movie. She was the perfect leading woman. The way she interacted with Aunt Jean was wonderful. I wished they had explored that friendship a little bit more. Robert & Aunt Jean made me stand up and cheer. That kiss under the mistletoe made me swoon. Then he got down on bended knee and I almost fainted. I am so glad the producer added that scene in there. As an old woman it gave me hope. This movie was A plus.
I'm Glad It's Christmas (2022)
I am glad to see Gladys
This movie is my new favorite. I loved it. There is a reason Paul Greene is called the Cary Grant of Hallmark. The man is the total package: he can sing, plays several instruments, & act. I don't know why people are hung up on the fact that he is several years older than Jessica. Who cares? Their relationship onscreen was convincing in my opinion. Alex Trebek was several years older than his wife. Seriously, I don't see what the problem is. Jessica done a great job. She has a great voice. I feel like Gladys & Paul brought out the best in her voice in this movie. I love how Paul and Gladys' characters encouraged her and let her figure it out on her own without a guilt trip. Lastly, it was so good to see Gladys. She was great in this role.
A Match Made at Christmas (2021)
I tried to like it
I tried to like this movie but I just can't. It was horrible from beginning to end. That Chris dude was just awful. He was rude, mean, and borderline abusive. He had some deep, deep anger issues. I don't know how he became best friends with Holly's brother because he seemed to be jovial. I don't particularly like the bride. She's a little bit on the selfish side. She didn't want to help with anything regarding her wedding. It is her wedding and she left holly to do everything like it was hers. Holly, sweet Holly. She must have taken responsibility for everybody's wrong doing in her life. The shop, the wedding, the bride's feelings. She was a professional victim and apologizer. I felt for her because she didn't deserve the treatment she got in this movie.
Runaway Christmas Bride (2017)
The Worst Movie
This is probably the worst Christmas movie I have ever seen. I mean the worst. I cannot believe that this movie got green lighted. Who approved this? Whoever did should be fired. I honestly don't know which was worst: the movie as a whole or Kate's father's hair. Was it a wig or did he have the worst hairstyle ever? There were 2 good things about this movie: the young man who paid for Kate's room and the ex-husband's father. I have seen him in several movies and he is a good looking man as well as a good actor. I don't know what else to say about this movie. I wish I could get back the time I spent watching this movie.
My Christmas Hero (2023)
Don't listen to the critics
I think some people has forgotten the purpose of movies and tv shows. They are meant to entertain. I am glad that I didn't pay any attention to the critics of this movie. I enjoyed every second of this movie. It made me laugh and it made me cry. It made me proud to be an American and a Christian. One of my favorite scenes was the way the way Candace's character treated that young private and the way her character treated the elderly couple. Such tenderness and kindness. I don't have one bad word to say about this movie and I am so glad that I took the time to watch it. Well done GAC. Well done👏👏👏👏
Paris Christmas Waltz (2023)
Impressive
I have been looking forward to this movie. I am a fan of Jen Lilley for a while and didn't think she would had any dancing ability at all but I was wrong. She is a fabulous dancer and she done well dancing the Cha Cha. Matthew Morrison is one of the most handsome and talented men on Broadway but he has zero personality. He may have a sense of humor but it does not come across on the screen. He is very dry. Great dancer though. I enjoyed this movie and my favorite scene is when she went to her boss' office to give up her job for her co-worker. That made me feel something. It was a great movie and I am glad I watched it.
Hear No Evil (2014)
One of the best
This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. It made me feel things. I have a fascination with sign language and when I read the plot of the movie I knew I had to watch it. Everyone in this movie played their part to a tee. No one could have done a better job than the people in the movie. Shelby is a brave young lady. The comments that were said to her and about her, she didn't let it bother her. It didn't stop her from delivering God's message. Her mother was her harshest critic but the gentle way she approached her mother with God's message made her a believer. The news reporter scene was another touching moment. I have nothing bad to say about this movie.
The Christmas Venue (2023)
Not too bad
I think I am in the minority here but I actually liked this movie. It wasn't as bad I originally thought it was going to be. The only thing I didn't like was her best friend's hair. I thought the main characters had good chemistry. They were good for one another. My favorite couple was Eric & his fiancée. Eric was hysterical. Him playing that forehead game had me on the floor laughing. Him also saying to Steven "look me in the eye and tell me like a man, "did you really see a polar bear?" 😂😂😂😂 Hilarious. That painting Cait drew was really good. The one thing I wished could have happened was Cait's best friend coming to the wedding. Overall, I liked the movie.
Immortal City Records (2023)
Not what I expected
Nothing about this movie was boring: From the beginning to the end. Everyone played their part to a tee. I started off hating the wife but by the end of the movie you couldn't help but to root for her. She was definitely an abused woman and in her own special way she tried to protect Drea from being that woman as well. I love the fact that by the end of the movie that the wife and Drea had a strong bond. They saved each other lives. I loved this movie. It was one of the best on Tubi that I have seen so far. The producers, actors, directors.... everyone involved in this movie was fantastic. Well done.
A Holiday Chance (2021)
I liked it
I was not expecting to like this movie. I thought it would be one of those cheesy holiday movies but it wasn't. Richard Lawson is just as handsome as ever. He gets better with age. He can make any movie better just by showing up on the screen. He doesn't have to say a word. Vanessa Bell Calloway is so underrated as an actress. She nailed her part as being the classy wife & mother. Even when things got hard she handled it with grace and dignity. I loved the Naomi character. She was needed in this movie. The way she handled the situation in her husband's office was pure class. As for the youngest daughter, Noel. I started off the movie not liking her and and I ended the movie still not liking her. Their cousin was awesome. The cousin and the lawyer brought the comic relief.
The Christmas Checklist (2022)
Smiling through it
What a delightful gem of a movie. It's rare that a movie has all likeable characters but this one did. I couldn't have thought of 2 people who needed to be together more than Noah and Emily. Those characters were destined to be together and I probably would have protested quietly if they didn't. They were the perfect match. I loved Emily's best friend, Kat. I have never had a best friend but if I did I would have liked to have one just like her. She was supportive, patient, and easy to talk to. The checklist brought positive change to so many people. It was nice to see it so many characters affected by it. Great movie and I am glad I watched it.
A Christmas Intern (2023)
Jacked never fail
This movie was enjoyable. Jackee is a treasure.... a national treasure. Jackee and Michael Pare were great together and they had easy chemistry. I loved the scene between Jackee and the Vice President of the company. Vivica A. Fox makes any movie better. She excels at the roles when she's in charge. No one can play boss like Vivica. Donte is easy on the eyes and he was addition to this movie. My only complaint was the main character, which is Alexis. She's not a great actress. She was good but not great. Her and Donte did make a beautiful couple though. Overall, this movie was good and I am glad I took the time to watch it.
A Cross to Bear (2012)
People need to know about this movie
OMG!!!! I didn't know that Kim Fields had this kind of acting inside of her. Her acting in this movie was on another level. This movie was wonderful and the acting is top-notch. Danielle Deadwyler is one of the best young actresses around. She was wonderful in From Scratch and she is even better in this one. Don't get me started on Malinda Williams. She didn't have a lot of lines but she acted the heck out of what she was given. I can't say enough good things about this movie. I am just in awe of everyone acting in this movie. It is spectacular. Kudos to the directors, producers, and to the actors. Well done.
The Untold Story (2019)
Not sure what to think
This movie didn't put me to sleep but it didn't make me stay in my sleep either. One of the things I loved was that Mr. Forester was nice and respectful to every fan he came across in the movie. I felt every one of his emotions when he lost Matthew at the marina. Like a gentleman he took the abuse and insults that were hurled at him. Nia's character was something else. On one hand, I admire her for raising her grandson and on the other hand, i wanted to hate her for being so rude and immature. Her reaction at the laundrymat was just funny and over the top. The grandson was handsome and had the sweetest voice when he finally talked.
