Initial review after a binge watch session:
Sure, don't watch it if you've got something better to do. But if you've got time, this show won't hesitate to pull you into its world. You can definitely find better things to watch, but at the same time, I'd say it's an experience and kind of eye-opening if you think a lot about life, friend circles, and dynamics.
There were moments that felt kinda basic, yet they were portrayed smoothly. And there were moments I really enjoyed.
If you're a true OTT watcher, I'd say give it a try. It might just amaze you. The thing is basic, but the immersive aspect is one of the best things about this show. It sure is a feel-good one. In moments when you don't want to be all technical, the "feel-good" vibe this show offers definitely kicks in.
Also, emphasis on the actors' acting. Much respect for not making it cringe most of the time.

Sure, I'll tighten it up for you:

Alright, so the series was alright. By the time I got to episode 5, I kinda guessed where things were heading. From then on, it was all about the performances, and they were... not bad. But, you know, it's a Prime show, so they always have some kind of twist up their sleeve.
So yeah, if you're an Indian and you're looking for something to watch, something to just kill a bit of time and chill, then sure, give this series a shot. It's called "Bestseller". Now, don't get me wrong, it's not the best thing out there, but it won't let you down in terms of entertainment. It's not bad by any means. But yeah, it's a bit different from your average series.
The story does have some unique elements, I'm not gonna lie. But still, there are better shows out there. Like, way better. But if you're in the mood to just sit back and you don't know what else to watch, then give it a try.
The plot is decent, but like I said, pretty predictable after a point. It's like, once you figure out the twist, you're just watching to see how the actors play it out. And they do a decent job. Not Oscar-worthy, but definitely worth a watch.
The pacing is good. It doesn't drag too much, and each episode keeps you interested enough to click 'next'. It's a good binge-watch for a lazy weekend.
The performances were alright. Some characters stood out, while others were just there. But overall, the cast did a good job keeping the story engaging. And like I said, it's a Prime show, so production quality is top-notch. The visuals, the direction, all solid.
To sum it up, "Bestseller" is worth a watch if you're just looking to pass some time. It's entertaining, has a decent story, and the performances are good enough to keep you watching. Just don't expect a masterpiece.
So yeah, that's my two cents on it. If you've got some free time and nothing else on your watchlist, give "Bestseller" a shot. It's not gonna blow your mind, but it'll keep you entertained.
