This is a sweet movie, and definitely worth a watch. Is it perfect? Not at all. But it's heartwarming and has a few funny parts. Still, it's more a drama than a comedy, which irks me a little seeing as Netflix classified it as a comedy.
Acting is fine, nothing stellar but enough seasoned veterans to carry it just fine. The pacing is a bit slow. It's a 2 hour movie and I feel like a half hour could easily be cut out with no detriment to the movie. That's probably my biggest complaint.
My other complaint is the misrepresentation. They show Vaughn opening a giant restaurant, and I remember commenting "what was he thinking, you don't start out with a giant fancy restaurant." No spoilers, but the credits show the real story it's based on, and it was a much, much smaller and reasonable place. I really don't get the point of that change, and in this business, was quite an important one.
