With music from "Los Cadetes de Linares" and with Valentin Trujillo, Mario Almada, Rafael Inclán, Maribel Guardia and Victoria Ruffo (actors with a lof of years of experience), this movie is one of the best films from the director. With scenes filmed in Monterrey and (mostly) Durango.
The problems present in most of the movies of Valentin Trujillo: edition and dubbing, are in this movie as well. But the last scene with Mario Almada, it is worth the whole movie.
9 from 10

I should say that this movie is one of the most boring I have ever seen. Sadly most of the mexican-weekend-cinema-goers this movie was better than anything. Luckily, the movie helped the mexican cinema, but not because of it's content, any movie from the 80´s (Valentín Trujillo for example) has much more content, cinematography idea, script, than this movie.
If are in the mood for getting surprised or astonished, go and rent movies from the 80's or 70's, "La Ley de Herodes" besides making me feel bored, I also felt ashamed, sleepy and upset because of the money I paid for watching it.

What can you expect when you have Andres García, Maribel Guardia, Sergio Goyri, Sasha Montenegro, Resortes and such a wonderful, sticky and great song??? A very interesting movie. Specially the end. This should be in your top ten mexican movies more than anything.
Should not be missed!!! More than any mexican movie around.
