The Last Airbender (2010)
Nope, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I decided to watch it because it was the movie adaptation of a well-known nickelodeon tv series. Eventually, it wasn't as good as I had imagined and I didn't really enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it was exactly the same just like the tv show. Unfortunately, the storyline wasn't well-written, nor well-explained (there were too many plot holes) and it was very simple. The characters were very interesting and likeable, but they weren't well-developed, at all. The casting choices were just nice and their performances were descent. At least, it was a very intense movie and there were some great action packed fight sequences. Regarding the cinematography and the score of the movie, they were both nice and the CGI effects were well edited. Sadly, it was a kinda slowpaced movie (especially, the 1st act) and there were some boring parts during the movie. The ending scene was predictable and it wasn't well-explained, because their initial plans were to make a second movie, but the movie flopped and that's the reason why they cancelled it. Overall, "The Last Airbender" was an average film, kinda boring and pointless, but there were some great fight scenes. Sorry not sorry, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...
Civil War (2024)
Um, just a nice political/thriller film
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I kinda enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are many war movies similar to this one. Unfortunately, the storyline wasn't as well-written as I would like and some parts weren't well-explained. The main four characters (journalists) were all very interesting and kinda likeable, but they weren't well-developed. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie from start to finish and there were some action-filled moments. The opening scene was fast-paced, promising and intense. The 3rd act was action-filled and very intense, but the ending scene wasn't very well-explained. Moreover, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both amazingly well done. Also, it was a very violent movie and there were many death scenes. Overall, "Civil War" was a nice action/thriller film, intense and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
Cruella (2021)
That's a GREAT Disney live action movie!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting and kinda innovative because it's probably the first prequel ever made about Cruella's life. The storyline was very well-written, well-explained and easy to understand. The main character's story (Cruella's life story) was very interesting, well-developed and she was a very likeable character. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great, Emma Stone's and Emma Thompson's acting were both the highlights of the movie. The opening scene was fast-paced, interesting and promising. I have to admit, the plot twist during the movie was definitely unpredictable and it was very well-explained. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. Moreover, the 70's aesthetic were very well portrayed in the movie, especially the outfits and the music. Overall, "Cruella" was an enjoyable prequel film, very funny from start to finish, kinda intense sometimes and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, I can't wait for the sequel.
Hold Your Breath (2024)
This movie definitely had potential!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it, but I didn't had high expectations about it. Eventually, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined and I kinda enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was very interesting, mysterious and innovative. The storyline was kinda well-written, even though some parts of the movie weren't well explained. The main characters were very interesting, well-developed and kinda likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great. I have to admit, it was an intense movie and the highlight of the movie was probably the family trying to avoid the dust storm. I wouldn't consider it a horror movie, because it wasn't scary and there weren't any jumpscares. It was more of a psychological thriller type of film and kinda emotionally intense sometimes. The ending scene was kinda unpredictable, but it wasn't well-explained. Actually, the concept of the movie was great, but it's execution wasn't well done. By the way, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. Overall, "Hold Your Breath" was a nice psychological thriller film, kinda intense and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
Smile 2 (2024)
Smile 2 is a must watch horror film!
First of all, I have to admit I'm a fan of the first movie and when they announced the sequel, I was very excited about it. When I first watched the official teaser of the movie I liked it, a lot and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was similar to the first movie. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main character (Skye Riley) was very interesting, well-developed and likeable. The casting choices were great and their performances were incredible, especially Naomi's acting was insanely good. It was a very intense movie, shocking and there were too many insane moments during the movie. Regarding the killcount of the movie, it was way bloodier and more brutal than before. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. The opening scene was predictable, but it was fast-paced, bloody and promising. The 2nd act was full of scares, death scenes and wtf moments. The ending scene was probably the most shocking part of the movie and absolutely mind-blowing. Last but not least, I have to admit it was a very scary movie and there were too many jumpscares. Overall, "Smile 2" was a great horror sequel, emotionally intense, terrifying, gory and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, I'm looking forward for the 3rd movie...
I Am Legend (2007)
I want a sequel!
First of all, when I first watched the trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are too many zombie apocalypse movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main character was very interesting and kinda likeable, but he wasn't well-developed. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great, especially Will Smith's acting was 10/10. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie and there were many action-filled moments. Also, it was a very scary movie and there were many jumpscares. By the way, the zombie's appearance was absolutely terrifying, even though the CGI effects weren't well edited, but it's okay! The opening scene was unpredictable, fast-paced and promising. The 2nd act was creepy and intense from start to finish. The ending scene was kinda predictable, but there weren't any insane twists during the movie. Overall, "I Am Legend" was an enjoyable zombie apocalypse horror film, action-filled, scary and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, I'm definitely looking forward for a sequel...
Chapelwaite (2021)
A great vampire horror tv mini series
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The tv series synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are many shows similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The characters were very interesting (especially, the family), well-developed and likeable (except, the residents). The filming location of the show was nice, just a small village in the middle of nowhere. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great, they all did a great job of portraying their characters. I have to admit, it was a scary show and there were some jumpscares. Regarding the killcount, there were some very bloody and brutal death scenes. Also, the cinematography and the score of the show were both very well done. Moreover, the vampire's appearance was really creepy, but I wish they had more screening time. In my opinion, the duration of each episode was perfect and it wasn't boring, at all. Gladly, it was an intense show and there were some action-filled moments during the final four episodes. Last but not least, the ending scene was kinda predictable and very emotionally intense. Overall, "Chapelwaite" was an enjoyable horror tv series, intense, bloody and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Arcadian (2024)
Unexpectedly enjoyable monster horror film!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are many monster movies similar to this one. The storyline was unexpectedly well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main three characters (dad and his two sons) were very interesting, well-developed and likeable. The filming location of the movie (Ireland) was great and the landscapes were beautiful. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great, they all did a great job of portraying their characters (especially, the two brothers). I have to admit, it was a kinda scary movie and there were some jumpscares, however it's not that bad. Regarding the killcount of the movie, it wasn't bloody and most death scenes were done off-screen. By the way, the monster's appearance was very creepy and it's design was kinda innovative and unique. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced and promising. The 3rd act was probably the most intense part of the movie, it was action-filled and kinda emotional. Overall, "Arcadian" is definitely an underrated monster horror film, emotionally intense, scary and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, I'm definitely looking forward for a sequel.
Boy Kills World (2023)
A bloody good time!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are too many revenge movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main character (Boy) was very interesting, well-developed and likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent, Bill's acting was as good as always. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie, action-filled and there were too many epic fight scenes. Regarding the killcount of the movie, there were too many bloody, gory and brutal death scenes. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done and the camera angles during the fight scenes were so good! The opening scene was predictable, but it was fast-paced and promising. The 2nd act was adventurous and full of bloody death scenes. The ending twist was unpredictable, but it wasn't very shocking. Overall, "Boy Kills World" was an enjoyable action/thriller film, gruesome, intense, kinda funny sometimes and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, I'm definitely looking forward for a sequel.
The Lighthouse (2019)
Sorry not sorry, but I'm not a fan of artistic horror movies
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I didn't liked it and I didn't had high expectations about it. Eventually, I decided to watch it because of the many positive reviews about the movie, but I didn't really enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was interesting, mysterious and kinda innovative. The storyline was very complicated, weird and there were too many confusing parts during the movie. The two main characters were very interesting and well-developed, but they weren't likeable because they were both crazy AF. The filming location of the movie was only one, just a lighthouse in the middle of nowhere. The casting choices were nice and their performances were excellent. I have to admit, the first 40 minutes of the movie was probably the most boring part of the movie, because it was slowpaced and it wasn't promising, at all. Gladly, the 3rd act was very intense and the ending scene was definitely disturbing, but I still can't understand what's the meaning of the movie, lol. Regarding the cinematography and the score of the movie, they were both excellent. In my opinion, I wouldn't consider it a horror movie, because it wasn't scary, nor creepy and there weren't any jumpscares (except, the ending scene which was kinda disturbing). Overall, "The Lighthouse" was an average psychological thriller film, weird, slowpaced and I would probably recommend it to those who like artistic horror movies.
The Notebook (2004)
A great love story
First of all, I have to admit that after 20 years I finally decided to watch this movie and I'm so glad that I did it. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are too many love stories similar to this one. The storyline was very well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The characters were very interesting, well-developed and likeable, especially Allie and Noah. The casting choices were perfect and their performances were incredible, especially Ryan's and Rachel's acting performances were both magnificent. It was a very emotionally intense movie and kinda sad sometimes, but their love story was magical. In my opinion, the pacing of the movie was fine and it wasn't boring, at all. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced and promising. Regarding the ending, it was kinda unpredictable, because I thought there was gonna be a plot twist. However, the ending scene was very sad and emotional. Overall, "The Notebook" was an incredible romantic film, emotionally intense and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Terrifier 2 (2022)
I'm a Terrifier fan!
First of all, I have to admit when I first watched the first movie I liked it and I was so excited about the second movie. When I first watched the official trailer of the sequel, I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was similar to the previous movie. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main character (Sienna) was very interesting, well-developed and likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a very BLOODY, BRUTAL and GORY movie full of disgusting death scenes. Also, it was an intense movie, especially the 3rd act in which Sienna and Art had an epic final fight scene. The opening scene was predictable, promising and gory. The 2nd act was kinda slow paced, but I still enjoyed it, a lot. The ending scene was definitely predictable and I'm so hyped about the 3rd movie. Gladly, the sequel had a higher budget and that's the reason why the practical effects were better this time. By the way, I agree with all of you that the bedroom scene was absolutely INSANE and gross. Last but not least, Art was truly iconic in this movie and he was very funny, especially his facial expressions. Overall, "Terrifier 2" was an enjoyable splatter sequel, very bloody, shocking and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Finestkind (2023)
I'm here for Jenna!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie, I liked it and when I realized that Jenna was part of the movie, I immediately decided to watch the movie. Eventually, it was way better than I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are too many crime movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. The main two characters (the two brothers) were interesting, well-developed and likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent, Jenna was as good as ALWAYS! I have to admit, it was a kinda emotionally intense movie and the ending scene was bittersweet, at least there was a happy ending..! The opening scene was kinda unpredictable, fast-paced and promising. The 2nd and 3rd act were both enjoyable and it's pacing was nice, I mean it wasn't a boring movie, at all. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. Overall, "Finestkind" was an unexpectedly good crime film which was mainly about a fisher's life, it was kinda intense, dramatic (sometimes) and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Alien: Covenant (2017)
Brutal AF
First of all, when I first watched the official teaser of the movie, I liked it and I was very excited about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was exactly the same just like the previous alien movies. The storyline was kinda well-written, but it wasn't very well-explained, because there were many plot holes. There were too many characters and most of them weren't really interesting, nor well-developed. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie, action-filled and there were too many shocking scenes. Regarding the killcount, it was probably the bloodiest and most brutal movie of the franchise, so far. I mean, the kills were very bloody, brutal, gory and most death scenes happened on-screen. The alien's design this time was kinda different than the previous movies, but they were still very creepy and scary. In my opinion, it was probably the scariest movie of the franchise and there were many jumpscares (even though, most of them were definitely predictable). Moreover, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. Last but not least, the ending scene was definitely unpredictable and it was kinda shocking. Overall, "Alien: Covenant" was an enjoyable sci-fi/horror film, full of action packed moments, bloody death scenes and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
The Silent Sea (2021)
It's definitely not an ordinary sci-fi movie
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the show I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The tv show synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are many sci-fi movies/shows similar to this one. The storyline was well-written, but it wasn't well-explained because there were many plot holes. However, the show definitely had potential and it's concept was unique. The characters weren't interesting, nor well-developed (except, the captain and the main character). The filming location of the show was only one, inside a massive spaceship in the dark space. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was an intense tv series and there were some great action-filled sequences. Regarding the killcount, it wasn't very bloody and most death scenes were caused by drowning, so nothing explicit was shown. Also, I wouldn't consider it a horror tv series, because it wasn't scary, nor creepy. Unfortunately, there weren't any insane twists during the show, but at least it was kinda suspenseful from start to finish. Moreover, the cinematography and the score of the show were both very well done. The ending was kinda predictable, but it wasn't as well-explained as I would like... Overall, "The Silent Sea" was a nice sci-fi tv series, intense, unique and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
Prometheus (2012)
Not exactly what I had imagined, but I still enjoyed it, a lot!
First of all, when I first watched the official teaser of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because it was similar to the previous alien movies. The storyline was kinda well-written and well-explained, even though there were some plot holes during the movie and some questions left unanswered. The characters weren't really interesting, nor well-developed, but they were kinda likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie and there were some great action-filled sequences, but the 1st act was kinda slow paced. Regarding the killcount, it was bloodier and more brutal than the previous alien movies, but there were still many death scenes that happened off-screen. Also, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both incredible. The ending scene was definitely predictable, but the 3rd act was very intense and shocking. In my opinion, it was a kinda scary movie and creepy, but there weren't many jumpscares. By the way, the engineer's appearance was definitely terrifying and they were very well portrayed. Overall, "Prometheus" was a nice sci-fi prequel, intense, creepy and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
The Zookeeper's Wife (2017)
Underrated movie!
First of all, I have to admit I'm usually not into biography movies, but when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I'm so glad that I decided to watch it. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are many movies about world war II. The storyline was very well-written, well-explained and everything was accurate. The characters were very interesting, well-developed and likeable (except, the nazis). The casting choices were nice and their performances were great. In my opinion, it was a very intense movie and sad, because it was based on actual events. The 1st bombing attack was definitely unpredictable, fast-paced and definitely shocking. The ending scene was kinda predictable, but it was very emotionally intense. Overall, "The Zookeeper's Wife" was a great film, emotional and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
From Hell (2001)
Um, a nice victorian horror film
First of all, when I first watched the trailer of the movie I didn't really liked it and I didn't had high expectations about it, but I decided to watch it because the concept of the movie was very interesting. Eventually, it was better than I had imagined and I enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was very interesting and mysterious, but it wasn't innovative because there are many movies similar to this one about Jack the ripper. The storyline was kinda well-written, but it wasn't well-explained (especially, the last 20 minutes). Regarding the characters, they weren't interesting, nor well-developed. The filming location of the movie was only one, England in 1800's and the 19th century was very well portrayed (especially, the outfits and the whole vibe of the movie). The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. The killcount of the movie was very bloody, brutal and gory, even though the first three death scenes were done off-screen (only the aftermath was shown). At least, it was an intense movie, even though there weren't any chase scenes before the victim's death. In my opinion, the first 30 minutes was probably the best part of the movie. Unfortunately, the 3rd act wasn't well-explained and it was kinda complicated. Moreover, the cinematography and the score of the movie were both very well done. Last but not least, it wasn't a scary movie and there weren't any jumpscares. Overall, "From Hell" was a nice horror film, intense, bloody, dark and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)
Just a nice ordinary slasher movie
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I kinda liked it, even though I didn't had high expectations about it. Eventually, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined and I enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are too many slashers similar to this one. The storyline was kinda well-written and well-explained, even though it was very simple and easy to understand. The characters weren't really interesting, nor well-developed and most of them were annoying (except, Jami). The filming location of the movie was only one, just a small and quiet town in America. The casting choices were just fine and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it was a very bloody movie and there were too many brutal death scenes. Also, it was an intense movie and there some nice chase scenes. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced and it was just nice. The 2nd act was full of death scenes and the 3rd act was probably the most intense part of the movie. In my opinion, it wasn't a scary movie and most jumpscares were definitely predictable. Moreover, the killer's reveal was kinda unpredictable, but it wasn't very well-explained. Overall, "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" was an enjoyable slasher horror film, very bloody, kinda intense and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
Trap (2024)
Please don't watch the trailer! By the way, it's a great movie
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting, mysterious and kinda innovative. The storyline was well-written, well-explained and easy to understand. The characters were very interesting, well-developed and likeable (except, the butcher). The filming location of the movie was mainly inside a massive stadium that the concert took place. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great, especially Josh's acting was incredible. I have to admit, it was a very intense movie from start to finish, suspenseful and it kept you guessing about what was gonna happen next. It wasn't a scary movie and there weren't any jumpscares, but the 3rd act was kinda dark. Also, there were many plot twists during the movie, even though most of them were kinda predictable and they weren't really shocking. Moreover, the cinematography and the soundtrack of the movie were both incredible. Last but not least, the ending scene was kinda predictable, but I'm definitely looking forward for a sequel! Overall, "Trap" was an enjoyable mystery/thriller film, very intense, that makes you feel nervous and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey II (2024)
It's way better than the first movie
First of all, when I first watched the first movie I didn't liked it and I wasn't hyped about the sequel. But, when I first watched the official trailer of the second movie I liked it and I decided to watch it. Eventually, it wasn't as bad as the first movie and I enjoyed it. The plot of the 2nd movie was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was kinda similar to the 1st movie. The storyline was kinda well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. There were too many characters, but I didn't really care about what was gonna happen to them, because I knew they were all gonna die, lol. The casting choices were some NOT well-known actors/actresses and their performances were just fine. It was a very bloody, gory and brutal movie and there were too many death scenes, it was a bloody mess! Also, it was a kinda intense movie and there were some nice chase scenes during the 3rd act. Gladly, this movie had a higher budget than before, so the practical and CGI effects were kinda better this time. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced, simple and very bloody. The 3rd was probably the most intense part of the movie and the party massacre was very brutal. Moreover, the animal's design was kinda creepy than the last time and they were absolutely brutal in this movie. Overall, "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2" was an enjoyable slasher sequel, full of gory deaths, some intense moments and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Alien Resurrection (1997)
Don't hate me, but it was as good as the OG movie
First of all, I have to admit I didn't had high expectations about the 4th movie and the rating of the movie was really bad, so I was sure it was going to be an awful movie. Eventually, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was kinda similar to the previous movies. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was simple and easy to understand. Gladly, there weren't as many characters as the previous movies used to have and they were all very interesting and funny. The casting choices were nice and their performances were descent. Regarding the killcount of the movie, the death scenes were bloody and there were some brutal kills. Also, it was a very intense movie and there were many action-filled moments (especially, the underwater and ladder sequence were probably the best ones). In my opinion, it wasn't as dark as the OG movie and this movie had a comedic tone. At least, the alien's appearance wasn't as crappy as the previous movie (Alien 3) and the CGI effects were very well edited. Moreover, the ending scene was definitely predictable, but it was adventurous and kinda sad. Last but not least, I have to admit I enjoyed that movie the same way I did with the original one. Overall, "Alien Resurrection" was an enjoyable sci-fi/horror film, action-filled, bloody and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Alien³ (1992)
Not as good as the two previous movies...
First of all, I have to admit the reason why I decided to watch the 3rd movie of the Alien franchise, it's because I'm going to watch the whole franchise, so I had to watch the 3rd movie, even though most people hated that movie. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because it was similar to the previous alien movies. Unfortunately, the storyline wasn't well-written, nor well-explained and it was very simple. Also, there were too many characters and it was kinda difficult to remember all of them and they weren't really interesting, so I didn't really care about what was gonna happen to them. Sadly, it was an all male cast movie and their performances were descent. At least, it was an intense movie and there were some action-filled moments, but it wasn't as dark and creepy as the previous movies. Moreover, the alien's design wasn't we'll done and it looked like it was CGI. By the way, the killcount was bloodier than the previous movies, but there were still many off-screen death scenes. Last but not least, the ending scene was kinda unpredictable and it was kinda emotional. Overall, "Alien ³" was an average sci-fi/horror film and slow paced, even though it was kinda adventurous and bloody.
The Boy Next Door (2015)
Um, just an average erotic thriller film
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I kinda liked it, even though I didn't had high expectations about it. Eventually, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined and I kinda enjoyed it. The movie synopsis was interesting, but it wasn't innovative because there are many movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was very simple and easy to understand. The characters weren't interesting, nor well-developed and they were annoying (especially, Noah). The casting choices were just fine and their performances were descent. I have to admit, it wasn't an intense movie (except, the 3rd act) and there weren't any plot twists. At least, the 3rd was probably the most intense part of the movie, creepy, dark and bloody. Regarding the killcount of the movie, there weren't many death scenes and they weren't really bloody. The opening scene was predictable, fast-paced and not promising, at all. Overall, "The Boy Next Door" was an average thriller film, kinda intense, creepy and I would probably recommend it to my friends.
Strange Darling (2023)
A great and unique horror movie!
First of all, when I first watched the official trailer of the movie I liked it and I had high expectations about it. Eventually, it was as good as I had imagined and I enjoyed it, a lot. The movie synopsis was very interesting, mysterious and kinda innovative. The storyline was very well-written and well-explained. The characters were very interesting and well-developed, but they weren't really likeable. The casting choices were nice and their performances were great (Kyle's acting was as good as always). I have to admit, it was a very intense movie, shocking and there were too many chase scenes. Also, the killcount of the movie was very bloody and most death scenes were done on-screen. Moreover, the ending twist was definitely unpredictable and it was shocking. Furthermore, the cinematography, the score and the lights of the movie were both absolutely brilliant. The opening scene was definitely unpredictable, fast-paced and promising. Actually, the whole movie was intense from start to finish and it kept you guessing about what's going to happen next. In my opinion, it wasn't a scary movie and there weren't any jumpscares, but it was still a kinda terrifying movie. Overall, "Strange Darling" was an incredible horror film, very intense, shocking, unique and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
