4 episodes....
So what is the "side quest"? Apparently, unlike Mythic Quest, the Side Quest is to use the platform of TV to, in a minor way, "preach" some morals or life lessons to viewers.
The first 2 were decent. (Morals: Be assertive and don't be self centered).... Relatable stories with some MINOR humor injected. Not as much humor as Mythic Quest, but still I found the first two episodes engaging.
I found episode 3 (Moral: Working too much) dreadfully boring, uninteresting, and trying waaaaaaaayyyyy too hard to be deep and meaningful in an effort to convey some sort of "life lesson". Acting was good, the problem was the story.
Episode four.. (Moral: Be respectful) again, trying to be more deep and meaningful that it actually was.. and centered around pre-teens so, yeah there's that. It's been a while since I was in High School, much less Junior High...simply didn't find it interesting. But I can accept that I'm not part of the "Twitch Generation" and I'm not the audience for it.
So.. meh.. its a 50/50 series. If you're looking for the humor of Mythic Quest, it's not really here. The stories, other than the first episode, are far more tangential than directly related to MQ.
None of the episodes seemed worthy of a second viewing to me.

So at the end of season one...... yeah I watched the entrire season, not sure why but.... meh.
Dennings voice is as grating and annoying as ever. How that woman gets work amazes me.
Allen is the same as he's ever been. No different.
NONE of the other cast is notable.. even Elfman.. just wallpaper to fill in the gaps really.
So those three words -- LOW HANGING FRUIT
Low hanging, tired, cliché character, scripts, settings, storylines, jokes, etc.. It's schlock.. nothing original and relying ENTIRELY on Tim Allen playing (his standard character) against the annoying screech of Dennings. Sure they throw in the more age appropriate Elfman to try and gain that "will-they-won't-they" thing.. but it's flat and predictable.
This is one of those shows that I'm sure on paper, it read like it had all the parts to work, but in reality.. it's the same as all of Tim Allen's other sitcoms only with a pretty dreadful supporting cast, and just terrible writing.
I'm sure it'll get renewed because studio execs are clueless. I mean, they green-lit this dreadful thing.

This is a retitling of "Everybody's In LA".. unfortunately the title wasn't the issue with the show.
The issue is the format + Mulaney. He's not funny, not personable, not quick witted.. clearly unsuitable as a talk show host. Every single episode makes it clear how MUCH better at "comedy" Richard Kind is in comparison. Honestly, Richard Kind hosting and Mulaney as the sidekick, would be better.
Mulaney is flat, relatively unentertaining, and comes across as so, so "thirsty".
Sure, some of the guests may be interesting, but due to how "deadpan" and boring Mulaney is.. the guests are not really utilized. I mean, in the first episode of this show Michael Keaton is basically a couch warmer.
Any entertainment value is like watching NASCAR.. merely waiting for a wreck... or something unexpected. The call-in aspect is horrific.
Netflix is burning money with this series. They'd be wise to just cut their losses and kill it..
