Not sure how the rest of the season is going to go, and it's well written it's very strong, however 1% of this episode that was written was not done very well. I believe that it was very much rushed, when the conversation came in written much better. This steps Over The Line in verges into ageism, and disrespect in a huge way to the general population of the Modern Age of the current adults of early adulthood. It seems like the scene in the car was rushed, and or was written by a different writer, writers, and or there was somebody at the top that really felt they just want to stand on a soapbox and yell but nobody's listening to them. So unfortunately it seems like they use the show just event their own frustrations as opposed to actually writing something educated. Unfortunately hopefully this won't Bode as the future for the series.
Every single Rassie's category.
The acting is all phoned in, and the amount of nepotism in this is bleeding from every scene.
This felt as if it was made by a college student; there was lack of any real tention, no suspense, and no realism. And No realism in the good sense.
This is nice for a first time filmmaker, but this is not by a seasoned professional. It feels as if this was just a publicity stunt just to get M. Night's daughter's singing career to be launched.
There's point in even checking off the box for "spoilers" ahead, because there are no spoilers whatsoever.
I expected to much from Josh, too bad the script didn't lend itself to talent. But sadly it also brought his skills down.
I feel this may be the end of M. Night.

I could not finish watching this, it was so infuriating listening to most of the cast speak in either a British voice, in french, or american. I would prefer to have watched this whole film in Cantonese with English subtitles. This was so infuriating. And why did the opening scene have to be a racist scene? Why couldn't you just made a nice film without including that. We've got so much of that and yet you still have to fall into dozens of cliches. This was a chance to make something really exceptional without throwing in BS for the white audience. You know I'm white and I grew up all around a lot of different people, and this film actually irritated the hell out of me. It was pandering so much. I'm not going to even try and watch this a second time once getting halfway through was enough torture! There's so many better Asian films out there from actual Asian companies released from asia.
