Interesting series. Can't imagine why it was cancelled. Rob Lowe brings a decent portrayal of a damaged senior Law enforcement officer who was hired to fail but really ups his game. Perhaps a bit to close to the Jessie Stone series but , hey, there's room for two and the English setting spices things up. The season finale sets the sage for a second series but alas, this was not to be. Considering much of the garbage that passes for entertainment on British TV (did you ever watch "Geordies Shore?) I'm at a loss as to why ITV decided not to commission a second season. Such is life in the world of commercial television!
First of all, I love Brenda Blethyn, Barbara Flynn, Victor McGuire and Jimmy Akingbola. The rest of the cast were uninspiring. The writing, writing, however, was below average, the comedy was formulaic and the decision to change one of the two main characters was just a disaster. Okorie Chukwu just didn't carry the sow and left the viewer wondering..... Why?
With so many better (I refrain from using the word "good") sitcoms available on TV and cable/satellite, I don't think I or many others will remain loyal to this show. Pity as the concept had such potential and the (original) Koji was a good match for Kate.

What were they thinking? Slow, Unintelligible dialog, 3 hours long - pure torture to watch. Robert Pattinson was better than I had feared but that's not saying much.
What on earth were they thinking???
