Very poor aesthetics. Poor casting. Over the top VFX and screenplay. Noisy promos held no promise at all. They forecasted the kind of movie it was going to be. No accuracy. No morality. No language discipline. It's a shame in the name of a religious saga. Where are the cultural and religious watchdogs? How could the censorship board pass it? Not a single scene is watchworthy, let alone praiseworthy. The Japanese animated Ramayans were way better than this headache picture that does not evoke the tiniest of devotion. It's like the cheap currency notes introduced by the Indian government post demonetisation.
Thus series is avoidable at best. No substance. No sincerity. Better watch some old doordarshan series.
Plz don't rate this movie without watching it. You might underrate it. The poster gives a wrong impression. It's not a B-grade or C-grade film. It's an A-rated A-grade film. 'A' not as in 'Adult', 'A' as in Adolescent. The script could have been better and the plot could have been more convincing. Poonam Pandey as Anita Joseph, Shivam Patil as Saahil, Sheetal Singh as Tia and Vishal Bhonsle as Samuel gives a fair performance. All of them have executed their respective parts well enough. But there should have been thought put into the writing and propaganda. Promotion could have been less provocative. I'd have rated it 7/10 but since the net rating is too low, I'm rating it 8/10.
