This felt like someone cut up a bunch of plot points from a freshman writing class and pasted them together, and then gave it to a director who watched a bunch of obsession movies from the nineties. The acting was one dimensional, the "plot twists" were visible at least twenty minutes ahead of time, and the ending felt like it was tacked on as a reshoot after poor screenings. At least three times I asked out loud "why are we still watching this?"
Any rational person in the nation character's shoes would have quit the job after day two. By day three, he should have been calling the police. But this one just keeps going and going, showing up for work despite the obvious instability of the client.
Go watch Hard Candy instead.
