I watched the movie with high expectations. I was expecting a great love story up to the level of the love story in the movie "Ranjhana" but I did not expect the movie to progress like this one. The movie is focused on the life of the lead character "Kabir Singh". He is selfish, arrogant and misogynistic person. He has fallen for a girl named "Preeti" in this movie and he becomes possessive for the girl without knowing her feelings. Steadily, the girl becomes a slave of the lead character and does everything which he wants her to do. In the movie, she has no feelings, she has no personal or professional motives and she just enjoys the abusive relationship. This movie is about everything except the "LOVE STORY". How can a person enjoy this movie and praise the character of "Kabir Singh" when you have girls as daughters, mothers, sisters and wives in your lives? Can anyone afford that the girl in his life (as daughter or sister) falls for a person like Kabir Singh?
I watched Jawani Phir Nahi Aani (first part). It was a good watch but I was not convinced with the second half of the first part of the movie. But the second installment of Jawani Phir Nahi Aani surprises you with its content and comedy. The start of the movie is quite good and it just carries you to the real story of the movie. Ahmed Ali Butt as Parvaiz, Vasay Chaudhry as Sheikh and Sohail Ahmed as Mr. Balani are extraordinary in their respective roles and they always make you laugh with their dialogues and expressions.
Fahad Mustafa was good in the movie but he should loose himself and get involved with the character instead of living in his stardom.
Humayum Saeed as well was very good and he does some of the scenes convincing in the movie. But he should pay more attention to his body now because the girls look much younger than him due to his not-so-fit body.
Kubra Khan was excellent in her role. She looked pretty and glamorous according to her role and she played her role quite well.
Mawra Hocane as usual was unfit for her role. She does not look good in any character because she does not have the looks and the required talent to be in a good movie.
I will go with 8 out of 10 stars for this movie because there are some mistakes in this movie too like the director just ignored the Fahad Mustafa's part and carried on with Humayun Saeed after the interval.
Na Maloom Afraad is a movie based on current situation of Pakistan including terrorism, unemployment, financial situations of the people etc. Javed Sheikh, Fahad Mustafa and Salman Shahid as Shakeel Bhai, Farhan and Gogi are simply brilliant in their roles. Salman Shahid has got a relative small duration but he is just outstanding as always. Mohsan Abbas Haider as Moon is too much loud and he slips a lot throughout the movie. Urwa as Naina got very less screen space so it is difficult to judge her acting skills on a large screen. Direction has many lapses throughout the movie but the director is successful in creating a good movie as his first project. The climax is good but there are many question left behind in the viewer's mind. Music is good and Mehwish Hayat, doing an item number, is just stunning and she holds the song with grace. I will like to go with 8 out of 10 rating because it is a tight budget movie and is much better than the movie made in our neighbor country. It is a fun watching a Pakistani movie with new faces on large screen. I hope that Pakistani cinema will flourish with this movie.
