Amy Jenkins "Instructions on Parting" is woven together from thoughtful fragments. Jenkins is a photographer and filmmaker; a noticer of moments. Sometimes when we make work we're not exactly sure what it's purpose is, or where this or that fragment might fit. In this case Jenkins was confronted with the rituals of life playing out in all of their glory and sadness, giving these fragments a necessary narrative- and a way to both process and exist within that story. Weddings, births, lives, and death all tumble forward inexorably. A gorgeous, thoughtful, meditation for those who struggle to meditate.
