I'm not sure why this is rated so poorly outside of admitting it does have a particular audience - it's almost definitely not a movie that people without kids in their life will appreciate as much. I'm not a parent myself but I am an uncle and similar in age to the stars in this flick and I really connected with it. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but it is entertaining with some laugh-out-loud moments and a story that among other life lessons reminds you that friends and family are important.
Synopsis: Kevin Hart plays a stay-at-home father that has long ago put aside his own ambitions to support his wife's career and help raise his children. He's become a stereotypical loving but possibly overly dedicated, PTA-style parent. His wife sees that he needs time to himself and while he doesn't want it at first, he takes her up on the offer and eventually decides to join the birthday party of a long-time friend he hasn't seen in years. Mark Wahlberg's crazy character, whose life is not going according to his ideal plan. That's when the shenanigans and life lessons begin.

Considering all the great actors, going in you would think it'd be, at the very least, a decent watch. But no, this movie is somehow so aggravating and annoying you want to yell at the actors and ask what in the world they were thinking.
I can usually find something I like about any movie. With this one there wasn't one thing. This is one of only a few movies I've ever rated under a 5 and it deserves it.

This is a fun show with great characters that you love more and more with each episode. Robbie Amell and Andy Allo, I believe in their first starring roles in a TV series, have great chemistry together. You cheer for things to go well and get upset when they don't. And all the side characters really add to this, Idiocracy-like, future world.
Just remember, it's definitely not a copy of The Office or Parks and Rec. It has a more dramatic connected storyline than those shows that really gets you involved, wanting the main characters to succeed (or fail).
The only downside? I wish there were more episodes. I can't wait for season 2!
