This is the most profound Christian movie I have ever watched. It is unorthodox in its approach and characterization of the Holy Trinity, but the lessons on love, forgiveness, judgement and healing are true to the Bible and much needed in our world. The acting, directing, dialogue and sets were all well above par. It is interesting to note that many of the reviews here are filled with hate and in one case the writer actually wished everyone who enjoyed the movie to burn in hell forever. That was an interesting reaction to a movie that taught unconditional love and mercy to all. On the other hand, such reaction tells me that the movie hit the nail on the head and satan did not like it.
After 65 minutes into this movie I could not be more disappointed. This movie has no clear plot, no continuity, no reason to exist. The strange dichotomy of prehistoric creatures and UFOs made no sense. I have no idea why the main character, Grant, determined he was in a space time warp. Chris Mitchum has smaller than expected role. At the end of the movie everything is suddenly OK and everyone lives happily ever after. I've seen better sci fi from the 1950's. I can't believe they actually released this crappy film. I'll bet everyone in Hollywood was laughing up their sleeve. If this movie made a dime I would be surprised. Do yourself a favor and find something else to watch.
This movie is a very accurate summary of the Reagan story. As a man in his 70's I can say that I lived through the times of the Reagan story. Seeing the movie was like turning pages on the chapters of my life as I vividly recall all the news events in the film. Reagan had serious detractors, but he was also very popular and loved by most. Many of the negative reviews here evoke in me a sense that some of these reviewers weren't even alive during the Reagan Presidency. Dennis Quaid did a great job of capturing Reagan's mannerisms and sense of humor and even his facial expressions. Enjoy the movie.
