A team of seasoned deep-sea divers battle on a routine maintenance trip encounter difficulties deep below the surface of the north sea in a storm.
The entire crew have to battle the raging elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface. Based on a true story, LAST BREATH is an thrilling story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.
I recall when this accident occurred and was reported in the news. You don't get the full story of course, but the film fills in the gaps and shows the fears and emotions of everyone during a difficult rescue.
It makes for a thrilling story and professionals have since said that it is likely that after the umbilical cord snapped and the warm water to his suit was lost, the biting cold would have held him in a sort of suspended animation, hence the reason he survived.
Excellent pacing, Woody was a very odd casting because much as I like him he is not a Scotsman called Duncan. The Captain of the ship was wooden too, they didn't cast very well there considering every single other member of the cast turned in a fine performance.
A very entertaining and at times, nail-biting film. I gave it a solid 7.

A princess joins forces with seven dwarfs to liberate her kingdom from her cruel stepmother the Evil Queen. A live-action adaptation of the 1937 Disney animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
I wanted to give this a chance mostly because I love Gal Gadot. But, if you have a live action film, you can't colour it as if it was a cartoon. That's a hybrid film and has proven not to work, and it doesn't work here.
Also, they aren't dwarves. I don't know what they are but they aren't dwarfs.
Emilia Faucher who plays the young Snow White put in the best performance of any of the cast. That fact is shameful.
The magic mirror's voice, is that from the 60's?
And Gal Gadot has acted much better in the past. I don't know whether it was stresses with Zegler or simply a poor director but Gal was definitely not on form in this film.
And Zegler...well...she is literally playing a person who wants to impress on the screen. She's not playing a part of Snow White, she is very clearly trying to play anyway she can that she thinks will make her look good on screen. We've all seen it before but not in one so young.
That said, I tried to be objective about the film and no matter what you think of any of the people in their personal lives, the film is a poor remake, and takes the shine from the original because of it. Disney have dropped the ball on this one as they knew it was coming, and they should have cancelled the film and taken the hit.
I rated it a 2 and the only reason it got that was because of Emilia Faucher.

Also, just a quick reminder from the story of Snow White, "Soon after that, the kind queen got her wish when she gave birth to a baby girl who had skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony. They named the baby princess Snow White, but sadly, the queen died after giving birth to Snow White." Now the American born and raised Zegler states that she identifies as latino due to some Colombian ancestor, and the fact that she clearly is not white in colour or culture. She is a DEI hire and we all know it, and we all dislike it because it shames the original story.
