Of late, Assamese cinema has seen a resurgence from the pit of mindlessness and mediocrity. Calendar is definitely the beacon which is leading this resurgence. Direction, Story, Performances, Sound, Production design, Camera work... everything has been just perfect. Although there is ample room for improvement or rather bettering an already perfect movie, such small trivialities may be pardoned due to the most striking fact that, most people associated with Calendar were first timers except the leading cast. Himjyoti Talukdar, the debutant Director, has woven magic on the screen. History may classify Assamese movies into pre and post-Calendar era. Such is the impact of this movie! Don't wait, go watch if possible!
