It reminded me of 8mm and even the V/H/S series. I appreciated the dark themes, even when they made me feel uncomfortable; it made the experience all the more impactful. Superb direction from John, look forward to seeing what he does next.

I watched it and then I watched it again. Nothing less than Brilliant!
Beautiful little Aussie film, I loved it! The two leads were incredibly watchable, the direction was spot on and the cinematography was gorgeous, could not keep my eyes off the screen. Hope this is a massive hit overseas and it leads the way for more Aussie produced films.
