I would rather watch Barney than this piece of tripe. Poorly acted. Even worse writing. Random changes to story lines and dangling plots. Most of the characters were just ideas that were never fleshed out to be believable. Its like someone was playing a vampire game and tried to set it to a film. And did it badly. Random introduction of pointless characters makes things hard to follow. The attempts at humor are poor. The one or two ideas that the staff has are so poorly done that they loose your interest. Here's a tip for the film maker. Next time spend more than $1.39 to make the film, and get someone to do voice training with the cast. If you live in New Jersey the accent may be cute or funny. But If you aren't from the area its just annoying. And have the cast READ the script. it helps if they know what they are supposed to be doing in the film. Not improvising thru entire scenes.
This movie at first seems to be a real stinker. However you have to look at things from another perspective. Consider that all these characters are street people. They are used to certain situations and nothing else. Granted there were somethings that were confusing. Take the guy in the bunny suit. There really needed to be something to explain why he was, and who he was. Also why was the girl walking around on that dirt road? That aside, there were some very good ideas in the film. Such as the Vampire Master becoming a much more cerebral being. Hey you spend 8 years and not able to sleep and you would read a lot too. The hero who just cant seem to catch a break. The "Ghetto Fabulous" Renfield was a scream. I thought the Vampire Assault Team could have used some polish. They seemed disconnected, almost as if they were thrown together and had never done the job before. And for some reason the Team Leader seemed to be immolating Rosie Perez. But if you don't take them seriously, you don't really care. The movie is not about them, Vampiyaz is about a failed thief and a vampire he wants revenge on. The story was tied together nicely and it seemed to try to go for action but fell just short of the mark. The fights were thought out but not well acted.
All in all it was not a BAD movie. It just needs some work in some areas. This was a low budget movie that did the best it could with what was available, or so it seems.

This film was truly terrible. Besides the special effects being far, far, far below par, the story itself was very poorly done. The main character seemed oblivious to logic and common sense thru-out the entire film. The viewer is not allowed to discover or learn anything for himself, instead everything is spoon-fed to him. The characters themselves were shallow and one dimensional. Things that should have been explained are left in the air and things that were easily decipherable were explained to the most minute detail. And the story concept in itself, while good on paper just doesn't play well in live action.
When all is said and done, I think you would have more fun smacking your hand with a hammer.
