The Substance (2024)
Great until near the end.
The picture of Dorian Grey, by Oscar Wilde nowadays, with substances and needles. Gore, uncomfortable, high sounds of uneducated people eating but interesting movie.
No love felt and no life goals drama of a beautiful woman Sparkle (Demi Moore) on a second chance Sue (Margaret Qualley) who abuses and confirms no lesson learned, about life and goals.
Great camera views, great comic style proposal and a constant anxious movements that generates nervousness in the audience. I liked it, and easily can leave way before it ends.
Unnecessary action off becoming a monster. I think the lesson was tought completely and learned.
The whole movie could have been closed where the "they will love you" card with the flowers is pointed, before the New Years event, after Sue smashed Elisabeth and started feeling the non-transfer step symptoms.
What follows is pathetic. Bad ending.
Eileen (2023)
Music...
It's a good movie, good story, good characters and great actresses. Focused on females in a men's world time. Eileen is so innocently sexy and sensual that almost erases the beauty of the main character full of false pretensions and poses. Which makes it great as part of the plot.
The scenery is disturbing and it makes you feel uncomfortable which is what the director looks forward to create. Cold and freezing, wet,
and dirty. Well managed, well created.
But, there is always a 'but' except on rare ocassions, but... the music is so bad it makes it loose several points and likes. Bad idea loosing value.

I am Mexican
...And this is BS. Don't lose your time. Read a book. I want my time back.
Ana (2020)
Decepcionado
It was so disappointing for a former fan of Ana's work and screen presence, that I even unfollowed her in Instagram and all other app's... Hope she learns and re-invents in something unique and fantastic. A word of advice? Ana, be yourself!

Patience required, but it pays off...
Excellent example of what happens to many who lost path or never find it in one's life. Being able to see a man's struggle in a life's summary in a 2+ hour movie, turns easy to become a strict judge, of how he self jeopardized it. But it's more common in real life to happen in our world. Excellent movie. (Not English spoken, excuse my writing)

Its not Mexico
Painful and uncomfortable way of loosing my time. If interested in Mexico, Salma gives the worst of views of what is México about.
