First - why have I never heard of this show? No - I don't live in Canada - but I'm sure people in Canada know of / watch shows like Law & Order right?? I can't believe I just found it. I binged the entire 1st season yesterday.
Second - It has a very "ER" vibe to it. Which is a definite compliment. Just crazy stuff going on constantly but they're able to pull back to let the characters be front & center when necessary. The camera work / the way a scene is framed is amazing.
Third - the acting is really excellent. Jared Keeso- I mean OMG.....I have only ever seen him in LETTERKENNEY so I was very pleasantly surprised & impressed by him. He has made me cry too many times.
Lastly - this is one of my top 5 favorite episodes of any show I've ever watched. Truly heartbreaking and anxiety inducing - but i couldn't stop watching.

I couldn't wait to see this. I read the book & loved it. But It was honestly the worst movie I've seen in a while. It was so choppy, didn't explain why anything was happening really (everyone with me who hadn't read the book, was so lost - esp towards the end). I was so frustrated. I knew what was going on because I read the book. But I still got confused watching this movie. There was NO chemistry between Snow & Lucy - they didn't spend enough time on developing their relationship. The ending was a rushed mess. Truly Very disappointing. The Only bright spot was Tom Blyth as Snow - he was excellent.
I can't believe it took me so long to watch this show & part of me wishes I never had. I just want to experience it all for the first time - again. Having said that, I think rewatching will be just as rewarding but in a different way. The series as a whole was pretty flawless. I mean, was it preachy? Sometimes. Were there questions unanswered? Sure. But really - there isn't much wrong with this show. It touched my heart in a deep way - I won't ever forget it. Thank you to everyone involved in creating this masterpiece!
