  • A prequel it isn't

Based on the first episode, I personally didn't like the show, but perhaps it will improve as it goes along. If they wanted to make another Twin Peaks, why would they want to use the name Bates Motel, except to capitalize on the Psycho success. As a huge fan of Psycho, I didn't mind that the setting was coastal Oregon instead of California, but making it present day with smart phones, and yet still having the old circa 1960 motel is a little weird. I liked Vera Farmiga, and she was also good in Source Code, which I liked. Freddie Highmore seems like a good choice for the Norman character. The show may be very successful, but so far, I have to give it only a 3.

  • A Great Movie

First of all, I'm not a John Woo fan: I didn't like "Face Off".

This movie was suspenseful, exciting, and held my interest throughout the picture. I recommend it as great entertainment. I don't understand all the negative comments.
