Well Done Abba! (2009)
Well done Boman Irani and Shyam Benegal
well, finally comes a movie after 3 idiots which u can be proud of, really splendid work by the cast nd director. The plot is engaging: it deals with corruption in such a believable way that u get a leaf on how to live your life mow a days. By the way, I really didn't know Minisha Lambha can be so convincing and lovable, I mean she perfectly fits her part and plays it superbly. And yes, no amount of words can do justice to double role essayed by BOMAN IRANI, again showing marks of a great actor, albeit a little bit putting effort this time which really shows. His portrayal of a simple, honest and truthful man really deserves standing applause for the manner in which he gets into the skin of the character and lives it. the music of this movie was d only thing which disappointed me, solely because it wasn't that soothing and relaxing or foot tapping, as it had only 1 song, but it wasn't suppose to be a musical, was it? This movie can be called a perfect foil for Rang De Basanti, if RDB leaves u wid a question, WDA gives u an answer; if RDB stirs your soul, WDA steadies it and gives it some relief. So really go for a superb treat for eyes and start thinking yourself or maybe acting yourself on how to change the system.
Karthik Calling Karthik (2010)
Karthik calling karthik: really bollywood's to be proud material
hey everybody, don't listen critics, this is a superb movie which leaves u engrossed for the whole runtime and never runs away from its point, the characters are real and u feel part of them. the storyline is perfect, the songs are well embedded, farhan and deepika are just brilliant. and the suspense is worth sitting, the background score is enough engrossing that u feel a part of it, the moment it begins. Somehow, I could correlate to KARTHIK from the word go and loved it, I was so into the movie that I watched into full one stretch and didn't even move a single inch here and there, come what may. So forget critics, watch this superb movie and be proud that in this totally blurred and commercial age of bollywood in which actors like SRK and AKSHAY don't know nothing except to be making films for own motive, we have actors like FARHAN which r sincere and want to work from their heart, not because they want to earn money, but because they want to act.
Aakrosh (1980)
just watch, think and step up
Oh my god!! what did I witnessed?? was it a piece of superlative cinema ever been made in Indian CINEMA or a straight potshot at both, Indian cinema and our system?? How can one feel so much sensitized and connected to one's role that he forgets himself? NASEERUDDIN SHAH and OM PURI deserve a round of applause for the pure epitome of acting levels being touched upon by them, not to forget AMRISH PURI. The fire in LAHANIYA's eyes, the irresistible courage of NASEERUDDIN SHAH against this case, the constant nagging of the unsculprous elements present in this society, and the condition of MIDDLE MAN in this so created hypocrite society is so beautifully welded and presented that one feels where does one's position stands in today India. Specially, the climax scene in which LAHANIYA kills her own sister to save her from the devils of this brutal society, the answer that AMRISH PURI gives to his junior NASEERUDDIN SHAH DAT even if anything happens to him, it will be a ACCIDENT; make this movie a excellent experience and leave with you an impact which you will found hard to get rid with, as this is what we wan't to get rid of, and still indulge ourselves in such malpractices that one's own self esteem should be degraded. Really, hats off to GOVIND NIHALANI and his bunch of MASTER ACTORS which make this movie go beyond just a cinematic experience and steers one's soul to the extent that one wants to do something for the society, at least help one LAHANIYA, HELP one person find justice, so that THE GREAT WORK put forward by our ANCESTORS is not wasted, really just pure BRILLIANCE(i M trying to discover new adjectives to describe this movie, knowing that no amount of wordly praise or acclaim can justify the efforts put in to make this movie)
