I used to watch "You Can't Do That On Television" on YTV but somehow I enjoyed this show better. It was more entertaining and nowhere as gross as YCDTOTV plus the show had musical guests like the local band in my area Trooper as well as Ian Thomas, Max Webster, Cooper Brothers and Alma Faye Brooks (What better guests could you have for a show?) Also it starred Ruth Buzzi. Kevin Somers was by far the best kid actor in the series and so was Christine McGlade as people called her Moose. I loved the episode where the topic was about education and Somers was dressed as the spelling bee and whacked people with his pillow stinger if anyone crossed him and unfortunately the episode is hard to find and I hope to one day find it. Ian Thomas was the best musical guest as I loved his song "Coming Home" which he performed on the "Superstition" episode also Lisa Ruddy and Jono Gebert were always getting slimed on that episode. (I love green slime!)
A well done film and Warhol's best improvement at making a film than just showing people with skin and fornicating all the time as whenever I saw his flicks it drove me nuts as it was so damn twisted! Of course we have Joe Dallesandro who plays a character who works for a mansion and molests some of the women there but ends up being a hero in the end and his acting is starting to improve as he was so awful in his past work (Probably he was getting off of drugs at this time) and he moved on to acting in non-Warhol films afterwards and doing well for himself. Scream king Udo Kier is great as Dracula and got alot of fans from this film. A film worth checking out and done in Italy where the horror population really lies for films.
Sure the audio and budget and most plots were bad but for some reason I enjoy this one and I own it on VHS! Of course too I'm a die hard Alice Cooper fan but it doesn't mean I like him in every movie he's in. I mean I hated Prince of Darkness with a passion and he had a cameo in it as the leader of those demon zombies. I liked the creepy music in this and the ending was very sad and would especially upset Cooper fans like me. I love his tracks "Identity Crisis" and "See Me In the Mirror" and had to wait for years to own it on his boxed set The Life & Crimes of Alice Cooper" in 1999 as the songs were never released till then. Take this film for what it is. A fan from Spain wanted Alice to be in this movie as Alice himself was going through denial about being in it as he admits he's not an actor but was paid alot of money for it so you can't say no to that! Some people involved with making this film moved on to big mainstream films believe it or not under different names.
