Polaroid (2019)
So poor, dark, predictable, BORING
I prefer slashers and sci-fi/horrors but I decided to give it a chance. I was wrong. Polaroid is another boring "ghost-like" horror film. The acting isn't that bad but the characters are not likable at all. I didn't care about them. The death scenes are NOT scary at all. People who give it high ratings have NEVER seen REAL horror films!!!
Mara (2018) was much more original
The Last Sharknado: It's About Time (2018)
Not bad
I can't believe some reviewers expected good acting or visuals or even "smart" story line. Guys, don't make fools of yourselves. This movie is "as good as " previous 5 installements. For this type of films it is a decent final
Farscape (1999)
Classic!
Yes, this show is already classic! Seasons 3 and 4 had some filler episodes but that still worked. Farscape is one of the most entertaining Sci-Fi shows. The effects were great. The characters were unique and interesting. The plot was captivating.
Ben Browder and Claudia Black made a very beautiful and hot screen couple!!! Their John Crichton and Officer Aeryn Sun became iconic characters of sci-fi world.
Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan is my personal favorite one in this series - very unique, calm and smart character. She died at the beginning of season 3. Yes, her death was very well done, she saved the whole team but I wanted to see her more and more. Her death scene was one of the most touching moments on TV. Virginia Hey did a brilliant job as Zhaan. Also, Zhaan and Stark were intriguing as a couple. Their story deserved better development. Just my own opinion.
Chiana, Scorpius, Dominar Rygel, Pilot, Ka D'Argo were interesting characters as well.
Jool (played by Tammy Macintosh) was another favorite of mine. Many Farscape fans found her annoying and even useless. I disagree!! She was cool, funny, smart and kind - precious addition to the team. Jool deserved more episodes in season 4. She was MUCH better than annoying Sikozu.
Farscape is real trophy of Television World.
Nikita (1997)
Excellent but......underrated
"Nikita" (1990) was very interesting. Luc Besson did a great job. "Point of No Return" (1993, American remake) was decent too. "Nikita" (2010-2013) was not my cup of tea. Just my own opinion.
This TV series is one of the best TV shows from the 90's. This version of Nikita is my favorite and always will be. Peta Wilson did a wonderfully great job. She was perfect! Roy Dupuis was stunning as Michael Samuelle. The whole cast was impressive - Don Francks as Walter, Matthew Ferguson as Birkoff, Alberta Watson as Madeline, Eugene Robert Glazer as Operations.....they all were amazing!! NO exaggeration here.
The story line and pacing were intriguing PLUS many intense/suspense moments. The series keeps getting better with every new season.
Brilliant series!!!
Spy Game (1997)
Underrated Jam
I still can't believe they only made one season.
'Spy Game' was a very interesting show. The action/fight moments were brilliant. Linden Ashby (Lorne) and Allison Smith (Max) looked impressive in the fight scenes. They made a very cool screen duet. Too bad, they aren't popular. Great actors!
The main theme song was great as well. You really feel that spy atmosphere while listening to it.
Many people call this show 'cheesy'. OK, maybe they are right but it was so entertaining at the same time.
Spy Game is one of the main reasons why I miss the 90's so much!!!
L.A. Heat (1996)
Brilliant series
"L.A. Heat" is one of my all-time favorite TV shows from the 90's. It has a very interesting and intriguing story line, many intense action scenes, good humor, impressive locations etc. Many people compare this series to the Lethal Weapon franchise. Well, I consider it as a TV version of Lethal Weapon.
The cast did a great job too. Wolf Larson was brilliant as Det. Chester 'Chase' McDonald. Yes, he reminded me of Mel Gibson's Martin Riggs. Believe me, Chase was as great as Riggs. Steven Williams, Renee Tenison, Dawn Eason and Kenneth Tigar were no less impressive.
The main theme is another achievement of this show. Even nowadays it sounds very fresh. BRAVO!! There is only one bad thing about this show - it was canceled! It deserved way more than 2 seasons.
Brilliant but so underrated series!!!
Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998)
Excellent Show!
Not typical for a girl (woman already) but Mortal Kombat is my all time favorite game franchise. I love original MK movie very much, the 2nd one was weaker but its fighting moments were even better than in the first MK movie. Finally, I watched this series and I was impressed. This PREQUEL was intriguing, catchy and entertaining. It was great to see some classic mk characters plus new ones - Siro, Taja, Vorpax. I still think that Ed Boon and his team should add Siro, Taja and Vorpax to the actual game as official fighters. Call me crazy but this is my point of view. Anyway, "Mortal Kombat: Conquest" was very cool Action/Adventure/Fantasy series with a very big potential. It should have lasted longer...
After this series I became a huge fan of Daniel Bernhardt, Kristanna Loken, Paolo Montalban and Tracy Douglas
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1996)
Great Memories from the 90's
I still don't understand the reasons of its cancellation. Low ratings? It's hard to believe cause the show had a big potential. Its creators Kerry Lenhart and John J. Sakmar did a great job. It was a very entertaining Action/Adventure series with great plot, acting, directing, editing etc. Call me silly but I didn't know Maria Bello and Scott Bakula until this TV show came out on my local channel. I became a huge fan of these 2 and started watching their other projects. "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" was truly amazing and catchy spy series. You would like it guys. It was as great as "Spy Game" (1997) - another superb spy series that was canceled too soon
Total Recall 2070 (1999)
Underrated
I'm a huge fan of "Total Recall" (1990) with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone so I was interested in this TV show too. To be honest, I wasn't disappointed at all. They changed the story a little bit and added some new interesting moments here. First of all, I love the visual effects that were really great, especially for TV level. Second, the acting was great except for Cynthia Preston who played Olivia Hume. She was the only weak actor in this series. Anyway, Michael Easton, Judith Krant and Karl Pruner were brilliant. I don't understand why this wonderful series lasted for only one season - it deserved much more and had a big potential.
TekWar (1994)
Superb Series
I heard some mediocre and even negative reviews about this show. Well, I don't agree at all. It was made during 1994-1996 (1 season only). There were 4 Made-for-TV movies before this series. Unfortunately, I didn't see those movies (maybe yet) but I really love the series - brilliant achievement for that-time television. They made a very decent cyberpunk series with great visual effects and really good acting. Too bad, the show was closed. It deserved better promotion and much wider publicity. Greg Evigan, Maria del Mar, William Shatner, Natalie Radford, Eugene Clark and others did a great job. I hope, this show (or its remake) will come back in the nearest future!
Acapulco H.E.A.T. (1998)
Love it
This TV show was very beautiful, interesting and so entertaining. Plus hot actors and actresses, impressive locations. They should have made much more seasons. They never appreciate great series. I liked season 1. 5 years later, they made another one. Alison Armitage and Michael Worth were left from original team and it was great because their characters were my favorite in season one. I adore Alison so much - she's so beautiful, not to mention sexy. Lydie Denier and Christa Sauls were new to the team. I liked beautiful Lydie, Christa was annoying sometime but still cute. I liked her as well. I miss this series. They don't make shows like this anymore
RoboCop (1994)
Brilliant and.....Criminally Underrated Series!
I love Robocop very much. I really love all 3 robocop movies including R2 and R3. Many people will disagree with this one but it's my own opinion.
"RoboCop: The Series" is by far one of the best and unfortunately, most overlooked TV shows ever. It's probably my all-time favorite Sci-Fi series. First of all, I love its storyline. Every episode was great. They developed Murphy's inner world more, his family, wife and maybe even emotions. They didn't put much of gore, 'brutality' and bloody moments. That's why some die-hard fans disliked it but not me. It was still very cool and intriguing. Richard Eden looked great as Alex Murphy but most of all I loved Yvette Nipar. She played Lisa Madigan brilliantly. Blu Mankuma and Andrea Roth did a fantastic job too. Too bad, they made only one season. I needed more and more Brilliant series!!!
Amazon (1999)
Great & Original Series That Inspired 'Lost'
"Amazon" is one of my favorite series. I was shocked when they canceled this awesome TV show. It had a great story line and the acting was wonderful. Not to mention the fact that jungle atmosphere looked so realistic. I'm sure, this series inspired Lost in many aspects but I still prefer 'Amazon'.
The final episode was kind of weird but I guess, they just planned to make season 2.
C.Thomas Howell, Fabiana Udenio, Carol Alt, Chris Martin and other actors did a great job here.
"Amazon" should have been a big HIT!!!
V (2009)
Bad TV Remake
I liked original 'V' series so I had to watch this one. I was disappointed, very disappointed. They changed many things from the original idea plus they just copied the ideas from similar TV shows that were released earlier. I mean 'Dark Skies' (1997), 'Earth: Final Conflict' (1997-2002), 'The 4400' (2004-2007) and 'Invasion' (2005).
The acting was also bad. Elizabeth Mitchell never impressed me much as an actress and this series still can't prove that she is a good actress. Other actors and actresses weren't good as well. Too bad, they ruined a great idea.
Watch original 'V' series or at least TV shows I mentioned before instead of wasting your precious time with this one!!!
