I hate musicals (except Wicked)! I really do. Yet...
I wondered where Enterprise: Strange New Worlds was going after Elysian Kingdom. Had they jumped the shark? Answer: a resounding no! The crazy, sometimes irreverent arcs Star Trek has taken lacked this insanity and it did so well! Star Trek is not all heavy and serious and space drama. It also needs levity and this episode was that! I don't hope they do it again because it was lightning in a bottle but I hope they find new ways to be a little more different and take us to strange new Trek worlds!
For the last episode they will go to the promised story of conflict with the Gorn!

And you know what movie you're in for.
When she arrived at the "English" manor, in the United Kingdom, the Rolls Royce is left hand drive. That told me all I needed to know.
Why are these movies so dreadfully poorly executed beyond "hot girl/hot guy/creepy mansion/evil lurking"? Not a step was missed to plonk in every tired "horror" trope and schtick. What noob goes wondering about at night for a glass of water? And in a mansion like that the room would have bottled water. Gimme a break! I'm sure the target audience of 15 year olds "appreciate" this movie but I find it hard to believe movie studios actually expect to make a profit in this dreck.

What an insult to the Conjuring franchise. A bunch of acting noobs let loose on a dreadful script. The "horror" is laughable but the acting, editing, and effects are horrific.
This is a cookie cutter script but the name recognition drags you in, unfortunately. A small budget doesn't need to be a barrier to a good movie but that's not the case here. At least the cinematography isn't bad. It does look like a more expensive movie; good colour saturation, nice focus, good angles. I really can't be angry about that aspect. Everything is "zum kotzen".
Who greenlit this? Who cast it? Who watched it?
