It's supposed to be a comedy of mistaken identity mixed with teenage humor.
The film is laughable - but not in a good way. Stale gags and a hair-raisingly implausible plot were lovelessly slapped together to promote Chris Roberts' corny hits as often as possible. If you like his music, you should rather buy one of his CDs.
Behind the façade of fun and exuberance lies a dusty stuffiness and an uptight attitude. The "jokes" are meant to cover this up, but fail miserably.
In addition, the N-word is used in the movie as a matter of course for black people, which shows the ignorance of the time.
