Running in theaters around you
After a long time, Bollywood was able to create a fun-loving ride which will tickle every inch of your funny bone!!!
Madgaon Express is the story of 3 friends who have always desired to Goa since their childhood but some issues or other comes the way for which they have to drop their plan. As they get busy with their professional life, they decide to go for reunion at Goa. This time they do reach the destination but land up in deep trouble which makes their journey adventurous.
Kunal Kemmu takes the director's chair for the first time and does a fabulous job in making a genuine buddy-comedy film that has innumerable laugh-out scenes - railway station scene when the 3 friends are about to on board the train, Pratik Gandhi's funny stammer after he accidentally consumes drugs, the scene where Pratik and Divyendu dresses up as Kombdi lady gang members. You name it and the film has all the entertainment package to keep you happy.
On the flip side, 2nd hald could have been further trimmed with unnecessary songs and scenes. However, the film picks up the pace and gives a solid slapstick comic climax. Kunal Kemmu brilliantly extracts performance from each actor who played their part to the best. Divyendu and Pratik Gandhi excels in their dialogues while Avinash Tiwari gives a good support. The Marathi actor who played the role of main villain and his counterpart, leader of Kombdi gang were simply superb.
Overall, I had a great time laughing out with hilarious scenes in Madgaon Express. Go and enjoy the bromance with your friends :)

- Ketan Gupta.
Over few years, Punjab, which was once portrayed with inviting lush green fields in Hindi films, has now become favorite hot spot for drugs, crime and unwanted criminal activities. Udta Punjab, CAT, Tabbar and now Kohraa deeply explore how this menance is impacting the common man with diverse and interesting characters.
Kohraa is centered around 2 cops - Balbir and Garundi, who gets involved in a heinous murder after a body of a NRI person is found in midst of field one foggy morning. When they start investigation, they discover interesting facts with haunting past.
From the makers of Pataal Lok (Sudipta Sen and Gunjit Sharma) and director of an underrated film, Halaahal, Randeep Jha, Kohraa is a procedural-slow-burn-thriller which will make you think like as if you are reading a novel. As you will turn into a new page, you will be surprise with new event in this 6- episodes hard-hitting drama.
Though Kohraa is based on serious topic, it comprises of humour as Barun Sobti steals the show with his cunning and witty dialogues. While the first half is extremely interesting, second half tends to confuse you as the mystery thriller finally reveals the person who is behind everything. The climax has a sad ending but it also exposes the harsh reality. Writing is top notch coupled with soothing background score. Editing could have been better. Dialogues are quirky.
Both Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti gives a knockout performance. Suvinder Vicky should be lauded for his brave acting and is complete natural while Barun Sobti is simply mind blowing. Other actors equally contributed to the performance, bringing out their characters alive. You will be surprised to see Rachel Shelley after a long time (last she appeared in Lagaan) and was amazing.
Overall, Kohraa is one such hair-raising web series which is definitely difficult to digest as it gives you goosebumps with an eye-popping experience.
