Knowing how difficult it is to find a good Thai movie, it was a very pleasant surprise to stumbled, literally, upon this short film. I found it browsing through IMDb for Thai films. The film, very unfortunately, is not on sale anywhere. I contacted the director via Email and he gave me a copy of this film and, I can assure you Khun O' Nathapon (if you happen to be reading this), this movie will be one that I will treasure.
The story is very simple and deals with everyday subject. The dialog is used sparingly and is very appropriate for the story. The acting is surprising very natural and realistic, considering that most Thai actors tend to overact.
The film reminds me of other Asian masterpieces such as 'In The Mood For Love' and 'Last Life In The Universe.' Both the aforementioned titles are my favorites. They are films with minimal actions that tackles real-life dilemmas. If you also love these films, I highly recommend 'Bicycled & Radios.' To the director, I will be waiting for your next project. I hope I will get to see it soon.

The class watched this film for our Shakespeare on Film course and by the time the final battle was about to start on film, we were all screaming for the movie to end. Yes, it was that horrible. With all the discussion in class and the extra reading material, the whole class came up with the reasons why the movie
didn't work. The first is the Olivier, for some strange reason, chose to make this movie in a very short time. I forget how long, but as a result, the set looks fake, the costume sucks, the camera angle is too plain for a talented director like Olivier. The second is his attempt to "talk" to the camera. This is most evident in the scene after his brother's coronation where he paces up and down the empty throne hall talking. He is too small on the screen because the camera doesn't follow him. As a result, the audience cannot see his face and cannot identify with Richard at all. To see a better way to "talk to the camera" try Mckellen's Richard III. I think it is a far superior film,

The story of a vampire and a man, Koo Tae Song Loke is a touching, though very cliché and predictable, story. The effects were good for the time period in Thailand, but watching it now, in the age of Lord of the Rings and Spider-Man, it does seem very cheesy and somewhat cheap. Thai actors can't really act, so don't expect too much from that department. The acting in this movie as well as other Thai ones tend to be either too much or way too little. The bad guys seem to always overact, perhaps fearing that the evil they are supposed to portray won't be fully depicted. This is definitely the case of the vampires, the relatives of the main girl. Their facial expressions are too exaggerated. This can get somewhat annoying from time to time. The good people always act like they can't act. May be they really can't, I don't know. The girl, Larn, is a fine example of this. Don't get me wrong, I like this movie. It is a touching love story nonetheless, and I still enjoy it even today.
