I watched a few of his readings on You tube before the series came out, and found it interesting, but still questioned the validity. Tyler's claims not to have ever heard of some of these very famous celebrities seem a little suspect. And 95% of the facts he reveals to them are very much in the public domain and easily found online. And I find Tyler's persona a bit grating and some what patronising. BUT, and it's a big but, (I cannot lie) there are several instances where he seems to deliver some information that no-one outside of the immediate circle could have known. Now, naysayers might suggest he had some inside information, but all the same, it at least leaves a question mark.
I came to this series extremely late on, in fact twelve years after it originally aired. It was recommended as a found footage style show so I thought I'd give it a crack. Using the reality show format did give it that slight bit of originality. It was not with out its problems, I found the pace a little slow at times, and some repetitive tropes, something terrible is going to happen... oh no it isn't. Also, the characters were a little unbelievable at times, one minute at each others throats, then teaming up together, and seeming to forget previous sins. But the biggest frustration was the fact the series ended on a real cliffhanger, with so many thing left unexplained, and that was it. No second series. Definitely worth a watch, just don't expect any answers.
