This was an incredible story. I urge everyone to watch this account of The Six Triple Eight because it was extremely well done. I have seen somewhat critical reviews, but I think that it is worthy of a nine at least. Bringing this historical event to life, was no small task, and the emotion in the acting brought tears to my eyes so many times throughout the movie.
I could feel what these women went through, their struggles, their small joys in the harshness of war, and the critical service they provided during the end of the war has every right to be laid bare in this movie.
If you watch this, you will hopefully not be disappointed and if you watch it through a historical lens, you will be amazed at the challenges and the courage it took to overcome them.
Highly recommended.

I found the first episode of The Gilded Age very crisp and fresh. I admit that I have not been a big fan of Cynthia Nixon in the past, but her performance in this series is exquisite and truly shows an acting ability that I haven't seen in her previous roles.
The casting is very good and with so many likeable characters, this show is sure to delight those of you who enjoy period dramas.
