You never expect much from holiday specials, and the same is true here.
Original TV show is practically a must see. This one is suitable for fans only, and they also would probably be dissapointed, to say the least.
The plot and script feel rushed, and there is notable lack of deepness compared to the original show. The story builds up and then ends in a flash, with not so good comic reliefs in between.
You just feel they could've done so much better if they had more time / episodes, or told a different, shorter and more effective story.
If you look for an example in which one man makes all the difference, this is just the case. Other than Lane's main character, the rest of the show is too slow and ordinary, sometimes anoyingly stupid (in some places, I suspect this may be done on purpose). Even screenplay by Sinisa Pavic could be described as weak, to say the least.
But Sojic (Lane Gutovic), with the great help from his butler Cirko (great role by Aleksandar Dunic), once again brings his A game to the audience turning a dull show into an interesting political and social parody.
Felt good watching it and picking up all the funny scenes and guffs by Sojic. Some of them are retold to this day, and they always seem put a smile on your face.

Hey, it's another soap, what can you expect. But it felt almost refreshing, considering a lack of similar format on Serbian national TV. Combine this with prime time and you have "successful" and popular TV show.
Bad acting, bad even for first take soap standards. But a few positive examples -Jelena Gavrilovic feels to have launched her career and popularity with this one, and Bojana Ordinacev, Sofija Rajovic and Zarko Stepanov have put in a decent effort to make their characters interesting and likable.
Screenplay, plot and it's twists are not worth mentioning. Nothing original that would draw atention, and most of it is just plainly stupid.
Was a popular show at the time and it brought back modern soap format on national TV, but I don't think most people would remember it in a few years time.
