Lost (2004)
The Greatest
I may be a bit late on the lost bandwagon but I genuinely found it to be the greatest TV series I've ever seen and I'm an avid TV watcher. The plot was complex and confusing but that's what made it so great and kept me so gripped.
The characters were also a huge plus point. There was such a complexity in every character on the show with every character showing more than one dimension to their persona. Another plus was the amount of characters, which at first I thought might be difficult to cope with. However, this amount of character left doors open for the producers and also made sure there was someone that every watcher could feel a connection, positive or negative, too.
As for the critics, the only possible explanation in my eyes is that they could not deal with the sci-fi elements of the show and expected too much realism, that they were too impatient to wait for the shows mysterious to be revolved or simply, they did not understand the premise of LOST.
Monsters University (2013)
Surprisingly Great
I never expect a lot of sequels, especially seeing I'm not a child like I was when the original was released, but this film really did over- perform in my books.
The new characters they brought in were just as lovable as the old characters and this made the new story fresh and still interesting for the viewers.
The variation of humour was great too from some slapstick that people from all ages could enjoy to some more serious humour that could have been lost on the kids but would impress adults with their kids and people watching the film for nostalgia purposes like myself.
Lastly, I have so many compliments for the plot-line to write here, it was great for a kids film. There was real depth and twists where you did not expect them, fantastic. One of the best animated films I've seen. Must see for anyone who liked the first film or has kids.
Revolution (2012)
Give it time.
A slow burner for sure to start with but recently it's been very good and I've been impressed with the possibilities of where it can go, the current plot and characters have been average so far but I feel there is so much more to come here from Revolution and I'm always eager to see where the plot will go.
As for the complaints about the realism of it, ridiculous. It should not take away from the audience how white the clothes of the characters are, if you're not picky on factual details and enjoy entertainment then I suggest this program to you, as for a rating, I think it's currently about a 7 but has potential hence the rating of an 8.
