Boxing action choreography worked great. Excellent sound work to complement the action.
Naslen gave an outstanding performance.
Interesting scripting style. Director's movie - not an audience movie.
There is no specific story line as such. It is an experience. I was engaged pretty much all through the movie.
Boxing action brings in a lot of intensity but at the same time keeps a very safe distance from the ear clenching Marco. It is a pretty good balance. You can enjoy the violence without guilt.
Vishnu Vijay brings in some fresh music. The makers were just having fun. Cinematography, music, sound. There is no insight that the movie claims to lead the audience towards nor is there anything. However, in small scenes, there are interesting nuances that are conveyed.
It is a very bold movie - beating conventions. I am not sure if I enjoyed it as much as Thallumala. Soon after finishing Thallumala, I knew I would rewatch it. This one - I may.
Excellent performances from all the actors. Stylish. Vibe. Fun. Music.
It is experimental, and genuine.

I had listened to the ARR music, and wanted to check out the movie to experience the sound track better.
Vicky Kaushal arrived, and gave an exemplerary, and physically challenging performance.
While his performance was the highlight of the movie, the background score and music complements very well.
Akshay Khanna gave a wonderful performance as well, but Vicky was the king of the movie.
I am not into war movies much. Political details of war movies can get confusing. But the scripting on this one was more distilled. Present the plot, the why, the design, and then the execution follows.
The execution is where heavy action choreography comes in, blending excellent performances from Vicky Kaushal and co-actors, VFX work, action work , sound work - everything blended into well made gory action sequences.
Somewhere along, I found myself pulled by the underlying spirit that Vicky represents, an idealist perspective that stands strongly in contrast with the more scheming stance of the villain.
The torture scenes, the poetry scenes, and the relationship between Vicky and Rashmika all worked out. It stopped being just a spectacle, and pulled me in emotionally as well.
Certainly a well made movie.

Four episodes in four shots. The extent of coordination and planning that goes behind doing a one hour single shot episode is admirable.
It felt very realistic. Felt like everything was happening right now. No dramatic cuts. No imagery. No shocking action sequences. With a very limited format to work with, the series delivers big time.
You can feel the drudgery of the procedures, and you deeply register the high drama that builds into an every day formal conversation. A plane sequence of formal procedure suddenly aggravates naturally. The impact that the realism brings is high.
Deep understanding of how things work in various contexts - arrest procedure, questioning, school, neighborhood. Everything felt very real.
There is a portion where the parents do some soul searching. This piece felt a little dramatized, as it designed to serve the message of the theme.
Masterful making. Excellent excellent performance from the kid, the dad, the mom, the sister, the investigators, the psychologist, pretty much all the small roles.
Background music work has been excellent. Use of close ups to communicate the deep emotional unrest of the protagonists has been very effective, and calls for excellent excellent performances.
Excellent cinematography work. It is almost unbelievable how they were able to pull it off.
Excellent sound work as well. It is a very ambient series. You feel the place all along.
It is a disturbing series. So I had been putting it off. It has been able to make a mark at the emotional level as well. It is a wake up call to the parents.
The story line is novel in that it follows the perpetrator with a lot of empathy.
