Nothing original here. It's a recycled regurgitated story we've seen over and over again.
The sound editing is choppy and inconsistent. Especially during the stripper scene using crisp new dollar bills?!!
Actors acting and overacting. The bouncing camera gets tired and nauseating especially during the garage scene. At this point it's no longer watchable. The news reporter during the bar scene was awful and the bar fight argument was so over the top over or under acting it's hard to tell. Mixed with the bouncing camera is nauseating.
It's officially unwatchable at this point.
For a highschool or first year film school it would get a 4 or 5/10 at best. The script and story is tired. I can't even social media with it on in the background.
The high rating reviews are extremely exaggerated just like the acting.

It seems book readers will dislike any movie or TV adaptation. People will over complain about anything these days. Sheesh!
Yes, it had a slow start focusing on character development, which I really appreciated. The pace does pick up. I'm curious why people give reviews after only watching three episodes???
The cast was exceptional. The cinematography was beautiful. I appreciate that the disaster scenes were not overally done as often as they are in American films. I guess many of the negative reviewers prefer to see more carnage and were disappointed. It felt more cerebral, which I found quite refreshing.
I'm actually intrigued to read the book now. If you didn't read the book, chances are you may enjoy this series. If you read the book and expecting a perfect adaptation well, I guess you'll write a negative review after only watching three episodes.

Seriously? Not even really a one time watch at best. Which is shockingly surprising with such a talented cast. The cast did their job, but the movie overall was not awesome. It was not great. It was actually unwatchable.
It was not anything I felt to invest more time wasting away in sheer boredom. I don't even think children would be entertained.
How is it that with today's ability to craft incredible films that people can't write a decent script with any originality? Just recycle old movies and story lines with a slight twist? Have we not see this same family dynamic 100 times now? You would think people would do better by now.
Super disappointing and a complete waste of time. I feel sorry for the actors that got sucked into working on this film because it doesn't showcase how truly talented and amazing they are. This is not even a made for TV, or something you want to watch when you are sick in bed. It will probably make you feel more sick by the lack lustre and generic uncreative mindless recycled material.
