I Saw the TV Glow (2024)
Completely Blew My Expectations
Horror films are my absolute favorite genre, and when they're great, they captivate me like no other. However, the genre is notorious for producing a high volume of subpar movies - I'd estimate about 85% are unwatchable.
I was pleasantly surprised by this particular film. Given the lack of promotion I noticed, which I typically interpret as a red flag, my expectations were quite low going in.
To my delight, the movie turned out to be exceptionally well-crafted. It's undoubtedly one of my favorites and one of the standout horror/thriller productions of 2024 so far, despite its relatively low profile.
Late Night with the Devil (2023)
Good But I Expected More
Late Night with the Devil is a movie that I had high expectations for, and in many ways, it appeared to be right up my alley. The concept of a talk-show host interviewing the Devil is thrilling and intriguing, and the film certainly had some good, tense moments.
However, I found that there were several areas where the film fell short and could have been a lot better. One of the main issues was pacing; at times, the story felt slow and drawn-out, which made it difficult to fully invest in the characters and their struggles. Additionally, some of the dialogue came across as forced or cliché, which detracted from the overall impact of the film.
That being said, Late Night with the Devil did have its moments of suspense and tension. The performances of the lead actors, particularly Kate Winslet, were strong and compelling, and there were some interesting twists and turns in the plot that kept me engaged.
Overall, while I did have some reservations about the film, I still feel that it is worth watching for fans of the genre. Despite its flaws, Late Night with the Devil delivers enough thrilling moments and solid performances to make it an enjoyable watch.
Vanderpump Rules (2013)
I've Never Seen a Group of Extremely Weak Men!
I myself haven't seen or meet anyone with a level of hypocritical narcissism in one person in my life, yet this show managed to find and entire group of women with these characteristics. A majority of these women also managed to find men who live and go along with it. I take no issue with metrosexual men although I find it sad, they're happiness will forever be sacrificed by these who have no interest in their partner's happiness because their own is their only obsession.
Made props to Lisa is awesome though. Her giving personality and focus on taking care of these kids is amazing! There'd be no success in any of these peoples lives with her.
The Little Rascals Save the Day (2014)
A Fun Movie My Daughter and I Enjoyed
As a kid I remember my mom taking me to see The Little Rascals movie released back in 1994, it was great to see my daughter enjoyed it as much as I did as a child. She enjoyed it so much when she found this new version on Netflix she was so excited to tell me about it so we could watch it together.
At first I found myself comparing it to the movie I fell in love with so much as a child however within a very short time I begun to appreciate it for what it is. I love it still holds the much of the very original feel of the original series and the movie that introduced me to the Little Rascals.
For those of us who grew up with the 1994 who now have kids of our own, this is very enjoyable for the whole family.
House of the Dragon (2022)
A Great Follow Up To A Song of Ice and Fire
We're living in a world where squeals & prequels are extremely difficult to write and produce. If given that opportunity it's because the original set a very high bar and expectation people have come to expect, therefore making a follow-up series has to be far more intimidating to make than its predecessor.
From the captivating acting and storytelling to the stunning production value, this hit HBO series is sure to be an award-winning adaptation from George R. R. Martin and has gained an enormous following of dedicated fans.
I'm very interested to see where and what direction this series takes us and it seems the series is in very good hands.
Ernest Scared Stupid (1991)
A Fun Trip Down Memory Lane
Not being a fan of Ernest as a kid I remembered loving this movie growing up and watching it at a friend's house before Halloween. Now with an 8-year-old daughter and Halloween approaching, we've been binge-watching fun, family-appropriate Halloween movies, and this movie quickly came to mind as something fun for us to watch. Call it nostalgia on my part but they both thoroughly had a blast watching this film and enjoyed this movie.
A lot of older non-animated family films, especially those 3 decades old oftentimes have a difficult time resonating with today's generation. This is certainly not one of those movies, in my opinion, I'd go as far as to say it's aged very well.
If you're looking for a fun Halloween movie to enjoy with your kids I'd highly recommend it and hopefully you find it as fun as we did.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Don't Go In Expecting It To Be As Good As The First
If you're going to spend you entire time complaining it's not as good as the first (as rarely 2nd films are) you'll find plenty of things to complain about, but let's be honest, that's why half the people come here. Some people are only capable of complaining, nitpicking, and being critical.
This 1st movie was released nearly 2 decades after the original, therefore Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith have nearly doubled in age when filming this movies. Yeah maybe they spent to much time making jokes that reflect on the original but it's still a lot of fun. I enjoyed much more the 2nd time around.
If you truly and honestly enjoyed the first movie, this one will certainly be entertaining. It may not live up to your expectations if you expect it to be the level of the first but it kept me laughing.
The White Lotus (2021)
I'm Glad I Didn't Watch This When It Aired!
I will say from the start this isn't a series for everyone, it's different, there's tons of charecter development, and it's a show I'd find much more enjoyable binge watching then consuming one episode per week.
I've grown to love limited series, immediately there is a start and end point set out from the get go. There's no cliffhangers written with no exact conclusion in mind or series that goes on way past its shelf life. This series is so well done it gives you a definitive, acceptable conclusion that leave little if anything to conclude. It's great when a season of episodes ends and it leaves you begging for more, however it's also great to watch a short series that tells its story while manages to leave no stone on turned and you're satisfied with it's ending and enjoyed it. In a lot of ways I believe this series left a wonderful blueprint for future limited series to come.
Office Invasion (2022)
This Isn't a Theatrical Release!
The amount of people who hold the same standards for movies that are funneled straight to streaming services (in this case Netflix) to the same standards as a movie such as Maverick you've got to drop $15 dollars per ticket to watch with actors who're paid more than this entire movie's total budget and what they want out of a movie completely baffles me, it really does.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a comedy that keeps a good amount of laughs throughout the entire movie with a cool sci-fi twist. The cast is amazing and everything about this film is done very well. It's not one of those films where people go in thinking it will be great because of all the actors or actress starring in the movie which can sometimes make the film seem far less than what it actually could be. This however kept me interested from start to finish and I left with wanting more.
Uncharted (2022)
It's Worthless To Read Reviews of a Movie Adaptation of a Video Game
Every single time there's a movie adaptation of a video game you can bet the bank there's a absolute zero percent chance those who've engulfed themselves deeply within in this case the Uncharted Video Game series were ever going to like this movie. This is nothing new, in fact every single time a game transitions to movie script it gets annihilated by sensitive snowflake gamers, if you don't believe me here are just some examples,
-Warcraft (2016)
-Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001)
-Monster Hunter (2020)
-Hitman: Agent 47 (2015)
-Need For Speed (2014)
-Silent Hill: Revelation (2012)
No, these jobless, socially awkward, mother's basement dwelling gamers with indentions in their favorite seat where they fuse themselves as one with the couch and consume themselves in pixel delirium believe the movie should be an exact adaptation of the story told in the games (despite that story already being told) and have convinced themselves people like Nathan Drake and Sully have a doppelgangers out there who are actors with the exact same voices and it's productions job to scour the planet and find them to play generationally important roles!
The movie was great, it was a ton of fun, I loved every one of the games (even the ones on PSP). Take it for what it is and you'll deeply enjoy it.
My Son Hunter (2022)
An Unbelievable Glimpse Into Reality For Hunter B.
There's a certain amount of common sense that goes along with this movie, but no more than any other movie reality based. As ridiculously stupid as Hunter is, despite it's unfortunate truth of course he didn't have cameras following, documenting, and recording his every move. What we do have is a movie put together by the stories of witnesses, reliable sources, some questionable rumors, and facts provided by Hunter's own omissions, from his crack addiction, the 24 hour non-stop professional cleaning crew of fixers it takes to clean the non-stop tornado of messes swept under the rug.
As the movie is viewed and reviewed by more and more people the full sensitivity of a particular political party will become hilariously apparent. It has the potential to be more entertaining then the movie. Mark my words, there will be plenty of sheeple who will portray poor hunty as a punching bag and completely deny even his self omissions.
If you think it's a lie listen to thr man talk and tell me his intellect is worthy of earning 83K a month as a board members. If you find him that intelligent after your 2 minute fact finding mission, you yourself need to do some very serious sole searching about your own ability to crew a piece of gum.
Side note, those who found the movie "W" as factual and a amazingly well done non-fictional movie, you people are great,
Nope (2022)
Unquestionably My Favorite Horror For Quite Some Time!
I totally respect Daniel Kaluuya as an actor, I don't think he gets near the recognition he deserves, or maybe he does and I'm unaware of it because I don't do well keeping track of actors & actresses name but he's amazing in this movie just as he was in Get Out.
This is one of the most difficult reviews to write because typically trailers give enough incite where you've got more freedom when writing details. This movie has one of the best trailers ever and it since it doesn't spell out the cause of what they're experiencing I won't give the direct details either.
I will say this is one of the most fun, creepy, movies to come along in the horror genre in a long time. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves. I wish IMDB would allow half stars, I would have given it an 8.5 so I rounded up.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Disney Was On A Roll
Disney's given us the Mandalorian, Loki, The Falcon, and the Winter Solider, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Obi-Won Kenobi, Boba Fett, and the last season of the Clone Wars, (When giving it thought I don't think another network has given us anywhere near this high of a percentage of quality shows) there's also What If, and The Bad Batch I found decently entertaining, I think they're allowed a flop at this point and that appears to be we've got in She-Hulk.
Naturally, show creators want to grab your attention from the beginning, if this is some of the best material they've got for this series it's in serious trouble. The first episode has all sorts of problems with it that don't add up but I don't want to go off on a tangent. Many may not be as critical and I don't want to ruin the show for those who may not have noticed these issues if they didn't read this review.
Listen, I'm all for women superheroes, I think they're great for the Marvel franchise when in balance. We're approaching a point where the overabundance.is flat out playing along with the game of political correctness. Iron Man is likely to be replaced by his daughter, Black Panther's (RIP Chadwick Boseman) sister will be assuming his role, Kate Bishop is Hawkeye's new apprentice, oh and almost forgot Jane Foster is like Thor now! Pretty soon MJ is goin going to be suiting up to mark my words! Wouldn't that be just awesome! Let's go ahead and wipe out all the male superheroes and cancel the Avengers and name it the Women's league. We know what you're doing Disney, and when it's easily noticed it's disingenuous. Wow didn't intend on going there but it needed to be said. Let's not forget the existing star female roles such as the Scarlett Witch, Black Widow, Gamora, Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, Nebula, and The Wasp, and rumors are just that, rumors, but there's talk of Jessica Jones making appearances in some Marvel movies shortly.
Bad Grandpa (2013)
For Those Who Aren't Uptight And Appreciate Unconventional Humor
I had an absolute blast watching this movie, it's tons of fun but certainly don't mistake it for a family movie, it's not by any stretch of the imagination. Enjoy it for what it is and you won't be disappointed.
Animal Kingdom (2010)
The Best Thing About This Movie.........
It led to the development of the fantastic US series by the same name (no, nothing to do with what county makes better material). The series in its 6th series adds the desired depth this entertaining but much to be desired movie.
Better Call Saul: Point and Shoot (2022)
An Amazing Episode As It Wraps Up It's Series Approaches It's Series Finale
Better Call Saul is nothing short of an absolute masterpiece. I loved it from Its start and quickly accepted it wasn't its predecessor/sequel. Slowly over the course of its run it has carves its own niche slowly bronging back that edge-of-your-seat excitement we all fell in live with when we experienced Breaking Bad for the first time.
This show stands on its own. Sure Breaking Bad adds layers to the story and enjoyment but the writers, actresses, and actors who brought this series to life are nothing short of fantastic. Peter Goud recognizes talent far before typical Hollywood producers. Better Call Saul & Breaking Bad are forever classic, they remain amazing pieces of act no matter how old it gets.
Thanks to those who made this show possible, you all are amazing!
Ghost Adventures: House Calls (2022)
These Were Always My Favorite Shows To Begin With!
Read a lot of these reviews and nearly didn't watch the series. I'm amazed how board people are they spend their free time (I don't have that sort of extra time) watching shows they know they're going to hate or dislike or have the intensions of calling it "fake" before they even tuned in to watch the show. These shows (ghost and paranormal shows) aren't for everyone, I get that. However, if you do enjoy ghost paranormal shows this is among the most entertaining PERIOD! Continue to read and you'll see I'm not even the biggest fan of Zak Bagans, yet despite his annoyance, the show still flows very well, I don't believe for a second those telling the stories unquestionably believe what they're experiencing is real. The question is, is it in their heads?
I love they're dedicated a season of shows to house calls. I always found these the most interesting in many cases and the people they help can add a very interesting aspect to the show, and the homeowners add an unpredictable aspect to the show.
I can't figure out what's going on with Zak and his long-distance attempt at investigating. There's no question he's been the keep success to this show and its longevity and I salute him for that. If anyone ever had questions about his need to be the center of attention, this show will answer that for you. The guy is literally in another state and still can't be unable to take his hands off the wheel and trust the guys he's been investigating for 2 decades! He certainly manages to be an effective team member not being physically present but at points, it's entirely too much it becomes obvious he's got deep control issues and seems to feel the need to constantly prove himself and remind the audience he's the boss and weren't to make sure everyone knows he's not relinquishing the position of team leader and subconscious it's bothering him a little bit he's not there and missing out on the credit and his shine he thinks he deserves.
If Zak wasn't such a nag I'd have given the show a 10 as my all-time favorite season of any ghost show.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part II (2022)
I Love Star Wars But Hate Their Smug Fans
Serious don't even watch it if you know your going to attempt to shred it and ridicule it no matter how it turns out. The show is very entertaining, fun to watch, well thought out, and well worth the wait.
I've heard many actors who've played in Star Wars films who've said Star Wars fans are the worst, and they're absolutely right!!! If it isn't made exactly to each one of their liking they come here drop a single star and bask in their tears for the next ten years until they watch it again and say "actually it was pretty good, I always thought it was decent.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part V (2022)
Amazing Episode That Brought Much Of The Story Together!
In my opinion this was the best episode to date, and with only one more episode remaining this is coming to a very climatic ending.
I'm tired of the Disney haters that bring down the rating of the series so far lower then it truly deservers. As a true through and through Star Wars fan I can say with the upmost honesty there is a group within the Star Wars community that will negatively rate anything associated with Disney's takeover of Star Wars since they completely fumbled the sequels. What they fail to acknowledge is without Disney they wouldn't have see likely any more Star Wars material if it was all kept in George Lucas's hand, who by the way got his rear handed to him for his handling of the prequels who with take have become beloved.
If you don't like Disney's takeover of Star Wars don't watch it and give it ridiculously negative reviews it doesn't deserve! This series receiving a rating in the 7's is hot garbage. The series deserves a strong 8 star rating at a bear minimum. Between the Mandalorian, Boba Fett, and Obi Wan Disney is finally doing things right in the Star Wars universe!!!
If you're going to hate it regardless, do us all a favor and don't watch and surely don't rate it based off your knock against Disney!!!
HANDS DOWN BEST EPISODE OF THE SERIES TO DATE!!!
Invasion (2021)
The Reviews This Show Has Received Are Bogus!
I don't want to give much a way but this show is decently entertaining and is something to keep you entertained while you favorite shows may be on break. Certainly don't mind the people who assigned it a single start, it doesn't deserve it and in no means is it a bad show.
I honestly wanted to rate this as a 10 to offset the overly negative and undeserving ratings this show got wear people tossed it a single star as if it was made by a bunch of kids from junior high who put it together in their mother's garage. (that worthy of a single star...possibly)
I've seen man horrible TV series and movies before (sure we all have), That being a single star rating should be given out on a rare occasion, here on IMDB one stars are passed out on average shows and movies like candy on Halloween! People will see good acting, fair storyline, but they don't love it and BOOM they come here and drop it a single star because it didn't blow their mind, or in this case didn't watch more than a single episode. These sort of unfair ratings are killing the IMDB rating system to the point its become less and less reliable! I assigned this movie a 6, however I wanted to rate it a 10 to offset the garbage ratings it had received up in till this point. But unfortunately that would make me a hypocrite
Believe it or not there is a total of 10 total stars to assign a rating folks, you don't have to pick 10,9, or 1, there are another 7 other rating figures you're allowed to assign.
Think about it and help reserve the accuracy of this rating system because it's getting out of hand.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
The Rating On This Show Is Ridiculously Underrated!!!
I don't know if the ratings of this show is based on the hate from the direction the original Walking Dead arch has taken, or if people are just burnt out on The Walking Dead in general but the rating is certainly not fair!!!
This isn't my favorite show nor is it close however it's entertaining and much better than other zombie TV shows post Walking Dead that were miserable and not even close to the standard this series has brought.
For those who are looking at the ratings before deciding whether or not to try this show out I say try it anyways, I've been pleasantly surprised. Rated it a little higher than it deserved though in effort to level out the negative.
Black Summer (2019)
I Despise The Way People Review Titles!
I'm going to quote a previous poster who hit the nail on the head when they said "don't compare just enjoy", I don't think it could have been said any better, also don't go rating a show when you've only invested time in a single or in many cases less. If you're a fan of the zombie genre/horror thrillers in general this show will entertain you. It's sucks that it's getting very difficult to read between the lines of a good show and a bad one simply based on an IMDB ratings or review. Many people who aren't blow away immediately in the first episode often will come here just to throw a one or two star rating at a show they didn't even really give a shot at. No this isn't a show that follows the same formula as TWD, yes it takes a couple episodes to gain traction, but to rate this series between 1 or 4 stars is propositus. I'm not saying this show is for everyone, and if it isn't I get it. That doesn't equate it deserving or assigning the show an absolutely asinine review of 1 or 2 stars. Yes people despite you're believe there is an actual 10 point rating system, not everything is a 1 or a 10. I nearly wanted to give the show a 10 to help equal out the underserving ratings but that would be hypocritical. The show is certainly a solid 7 though if you invest a little bit of time and don't come to the conclusion this isn't TWD I'm done.
The Ghost Town Terror (2022)
Why People Who Do People Who Dislike Paranormal Shows Watch and Review
The show is interesting and has a story that hasn't been exhausted before like your standard paranormal investigation shows. It moves along at a quick pace that keeps the story consistently progressing.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
This is What Ive Come To Expect From Fans These Days!
The fact of the matter is you can never revive a franchise these days without a high percentage of fans whining and complaining and complaining reviews. It's as if everyone forgot how mediocre the last two films of the origin trilogy were! No this doesn't hold a candle to the initial movie but it much better thought out and this movie stacks up much better than the two that came before it.
I'm starting to believe the internet has become a giant ball of people who simply get their kicks talking negatively about everything under the sun that's not done the way they wanted or expected seen.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Off To a Great Start!
Dexter is not only back, but back on top! 3 episodes in I can see this going in the direction to be one of the best seasons of Dexter yet. It's apparent from the initial episode they've got a story to tell that mops up and cleans up the disaster that landed in Clyde Phillips lap and had to clean up Showtime ended the show in an unsatisfying ending.
