Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Good movie but violence a bit too graphic
I watched most of the series the back stories of the main characters were interesting. Some of the games, such as "Red light, green light" were, for me, way too violent and the violence way, way too graphic. I wish the series would have in some way revealed who the organizers of the "games" were and what purpose they had in staging the games, other than offering people in deep financial trouble a way to pay their debts. I wish the creators of the series would depicted the violence a little less graphic and disturbing. Maybe leaving the consequences of losing a gaming to the viewers' imagination. Violence and bloodletting aside, the series was good in a dark way. I can't say that I "enjoyed" the series, it was, however, interesting and a bit fascinating. The overall story I give it a 9 out 10, for the graphic violence a 4 out 10 too disturbing for my taste.
The Twilight Zone: To Serve Man (1962)
Brillant writing!
This episode featured the most brilliant and clever writing I have ever seen but then Rod Serling was one of the best writers Hollywood has ever seen!! I have seen every episode of the sadly shortened series. When Serling passed away, we lost a legend!!
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: The Arizona (2020)
Chris Lloyd at his best!!
"The Arizona" is one of the best. if not THE best episodes of NCIS I have ever seen. It is emotional and powerful!! Chris Lloyd definitely deserves an Emmy for his performance! I am a rabid fan of NCIS!! It is without a doubt the finest TV drama ever!!
Inside Out (2015)
really?
You poor saps who give this film a 1/10 wouldn't know a good movie if it bit you in the rear!!! Children should be taught to understand their emotions while growing up and I think this movie does an excellent job of doing just that!! I would give "Inside Out" 11 stars if I could! Well done, Pixar!
The Twilight Zone: The Changing of the Guard (1962)
One of the best TZ episodes ever
"Changing of the Guard" was, for me, one of the most moving and uplifting Twilight Zone episodes ever. Donald Pleasence is a fine actor one of the best. I can relate to Prof. Fowler's thoughts and emotions I graduated from college with a degree in Music and taught several students privately but I was never sure if my teaching was working. I taught private voice lessons. I struggled with one student who couldn't understand the mechanics of singing. But I did have a small victory just like Prof. Fowler. A former student, a soprano, called me one evening and thanked me for teaching her. She told me my training helped her become a lead singer in her church choir. For all of you in the teaching profession, keep plugging away and you will all win "small victories for mankind".
Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014)
Decent but not great
I had great expectations for both "Planes" and "Planes: Fire and rescue". Both were letdowns! Neither film had the humor, heart and charisma that have characterized previous Pixar films. Ever since Disney bought out Pixar I have noticed a distinct decline in the quality of films made under the Disney Animation Studios logo. Disney has, in my opinion, ignored great Pixar directors like Andrew Stanton, Pete Doctor, and Lee Unkrich. These directors have made the best animated films on the planet and Disney doesn't use them! I have also noticed much of the production work is done in India with Indian animators and production staff. Is there a reason for this? I am not saying they are worse or better than animators in America. They are good. Disney needs to bring back Andrew Stanton, Pete Doctor and Lee Unkrich.
